Bravo Dazed,

This is great. nice thread. Can't get more organic. taking seaweed from the ocean. not only give you the nutrients, but also trace elements we sometimes miss in our soil.

Reps for this thread.

Excellent thread with some good links, thanks for sharing it with us :thank:

It's about got me up the motivation to head over to the beach and grab some! I'm only bout an hour away. I'm also very near some really old swamps, like real swamps, and been thinking about digging up a few gallons of the swampy muck to mix into my org soil mix :)

Ok so tried out a mix of seaweed and bat guano on my party cup grow entry last night. The results this morning are nothing short of incredible!
The plant has packed on so much weight and is just looking vibrant, I can 100% tell a big difference, she enjoyed that mix that's for sure.

This stuff is gold.

Very cool !
D.A.C. how did you make a mix was it in tea?

I wonder if freshwater sea weed would work we have some on the river here.

Yeah I basically put a small handful of seaweed into a litre of water, blended it in a food processor (an old one I donated to seaweed teas! lol), added some molasses and bat guano then bubbled for 24 hours. I can't see why freshwater seaweed would be any different bro. Give it a shot!

Thanks Man!

I have been adding kelp meal to my tea but I would bet that fresh, free microbe infested sea weed would be much better!

Thanks for sharing.

I dunno. The rivers around here are full of ag run off which includes fertilizers, herbicides, and extremely potent insecticides. One of the main reasons the large dead zone exists at the base of the Mississippi. I wouldn't use it.

Agreed if it's polluted then I wouldn't use it either.
