Hi everyone! I have been lurking around for a couple of weeks now and I must say y'all have a really nice community here! Looks like most are just out for the love of the sweet leaf and want to see all succeed! @TaNg - Love your journals brother! Hope you can get back to a place where you can grow again!

I have been playing with photo periods for about 7 years now but am a complete noob to auto flowers.

I planted my first auto about 50 days ago, auto pink diesel x amnesia and am guessing that I have only a few weeks left till harvest. I was shocked to see calyx growth in less than 20 days from germination!! I am very excited for harvest day for sure!

That leads to a question that I had; What is the 'normal' period of time it takes for autos to start to show calyx growth? The reason I ask is a couple of weeks after I started the pink diesel x amnesia I started a Dutch Passion Auto Daiquiri Lime which is now 25 days old and has yet to show any calyx growth?

My indoor plants usually start to show preflower between 15-21 days, but a few of the longer running strains hold back a bit on preflower until around 30 days.

Thanks much! Nice to meet you too! I was curious more than anything. So from what you said I am taking that the Daiquiri Lime is on the longer side, maybe 80-90 days to finish?

I ran a daiquiri lime outdoors last season and hmmm...i chopped her down a touch early at around 80 days due to mold.

hey buddy glad you finally found us : ) your looking good so far. dutch passion go a bit longer so generally take a while to flower. my a/u never started untill day 48ish. nothing to worry about mate, autos just kinda do their own thing.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and the help! I am really excited to see the Daiquiri Lime through to finish. I first learned of this strain a couple of years ago and was really curious (I love citrus strains) but was unsure as it is an auto only and as I am in the US which can make it more of a "process" to get them, even though I live in a legal recreational state and I am a legal medical canniabis patient! lol US laws are SO screwed up right now!
