Sorry ot hear you're having difficulties getting the little ones off to a flying start.
What's your germination method buddy? lets see if we can get to the bottom of it!

I've grown sweet seeds for the last 3 years and never had one not pop or grow for me (even packs that are over 2 years old stored in sub-standard conditions)

I recommend sweet seeds to all new growers and pass on my germination method for what it's worth.

Seed in the middle of kitchen towel.
Fold over, fold over again, and fold over again.
Lightly dampen kitchen towel
Place in a ziplock back (like a freezer back)
Place in small box or dvd case
Place ontop of a heat source like a sky or vigin tv box (I sometimes even put them under a 55w tube heater)

... Come back in three days and you will have tails (be very careful unfolding, the tails have been known to grow into the kitchen towel - you can check at 2 days, but the less man handling the better)

Very carefully drop the seed into your coco hole and lightly cover with loose coco.

Either spray the area or add 100-200ml of water (but not just dropped on the seed area - gently water it)

Water in coco should be kept around 5.8 unless your a coco pro and like to swing the PH range from 5.6 - 6.2 (but 5.8.gets the results)

Hope this helps and not trying to teach grandpa to suck eggs - just perhaps an alternative method that hasn't failed me or anyone i know .... yet

Thanks blue it was actually from reading your threads i decided at the end to go with the sweet seeds collection yea have your threads very well written and your bloody skunk report was the main reason i choose to go with the bloody skunk strain. My method is id put them in a thermal cup with distilled water and check them every 24 hours to see any stages of cracking and my heat source would be keeping the thermal cup beside my ballast in the growdrobe its on a shelf above the light and in the back so no light source can be hitting the cup. I wont lie 5 out 6 have germed for me with no problem just the first 2 that i planted died very quickly they were a very white/cream looking colour. I tried another seed it germed with no hassle planted on Wednesday came to Friday and it seemed the shell of the seed was not budging off the plant so i very gently removed the casing and today its about an inch and a half and i dropped another 2 into the soil today. One of them there was a good tap root out and the other it was small but still put it into soil since the one that is growing only had a small tap root and its growing away. I have them under a 600 watt dual spectrum omega bulb 2 feet from the light. The medium is coco/perlite and i dont have any coco nutrients i have been using 2ml biobizz root juice 1ml biobizz gro and 0.5 ml of a tomato fertilzer. I am still waiting for an order of Sensi`s calmag but hopefully should have it monday or tuesday and the ph is between 5.6 and 5.9. it is probably the first 2 of the seeds that disheartened me about the seeds but ill give the ones that i planted today a few days to pop out of the soil and hopefully will bring me back around to the sweet seeds collection just invested quite abit of coin into all of this so would be disgusted having to pick up another pack and start all over again

It's too much of a coincidence that they've germed and fallen like that. I'm guessing it could be some environmental issue

Here's a few checkpoints (again sorry if this is too basic - i'm just throwing ideas out!)

- Tails - I like my tails to be at least 1/2cm and maybe 1cm (i've dropped them in with tails as long as 2 cm)

- Temps - 70-80 f with lights on
- Light - Hoping someone else with a 600w can chime in - but i keep my led at about that height and it's much cooler)
- Humidity - See if you can get it up to 50% - It's tricky with a hot HPS, but if you have a drip tray, try putting your pots on little feet and putting water in the drip tray to increase humidity (a fan blwoing on it will help)

- Humidity dome for the little ones - I've done it with and without - but it could help. Cut the top of a coke bottle off and pop ontop where you droped the seed in for a week - see how that goes.

Airflow - An often over looked and under rated part of a good grow system. A good out take fan and passive in take hole could be the ticket if the airflow isnt great. I bought a RUCK fan (trademark not type) and it's been awesome. A little pricey but good.

I'm really not sure about biobizz in coco - i think one person at AFN did it a while ago and it worked (maybe groff) but it was an experienced grower and the problem is you can't test the EC with organic nutes (there is none) and you want an EC of btween 0.8 and 1.0 to begin with in the coco.

that's a few more things to consider - hopefully @Ronin or @Waximus can chime in with some thoughts (i tagged them so they'll see it)

I'll be away for a while now, but i hope it picks up for you

edit: Brainfart - Just read someone elses post and wondering if perhaps the heat over the last 2 weeks has been too much for the little ones? It hit over 80f here in England with no lights on!

Yea i have a temp reader in the room lowest temp 21/22 highest temp 28/29 i have a desk fan lined straight up onto the light blowing 24/7 on it and the wardrobe is built into the wall i usually keep the doors of it open its right beside a window and that is always open and in the back of the wardrobe i cut it out with the wood at a slant there is a hidden room behind it so any hot air would escape either out the back or front of the wardrobe. I tried using the clingfilm over the seedlings at the start and think that could have been the cause of messing up the first 2 plants so i just decided this time around i will just put them into soil and one is doing grand now need to see how the other 2 i dropped into soil today goes over the next few days. i spend weeks looking up forums before investing any time into it and think the only thing i did wrong was putting the clingfilm wrap over the pots for them first 2 plants it seemed to warm up the medium and that probably caused the stress to the seedlings to die off and it was very hard to find any forum with using the biobizz organic products on a coco medium but sure god loves a chancer so all going well i can start up a thread on the organic nutes with coco medium lets see if i can get that far first ha

Haha the irish weather is not like Englands at the moment its a rare occasion to get alot of good weather here and forgot to mention i have a bowl of water in the room as well to keep the humidty up its the second time i have filled it up so its deffo evaporating in the room

Cheers pyrokev its a great site for the info i was hoping to have my journal started this weekend but had a few problems with the first 2 seedlings trying a different method now and staying away from the clingfilm on the pot method and one is gorwing away fine i think any ways will be putting up a pic in a few mins get some ffedback to see if its going all right and another 2 went into the coco today maybe next weekend ill have better luck starting the journal ha.
