Hi There Irish Grower

Welcome to AFN! :)
Sorry ot hear you're having difficulties getting the little ones off to a flying start.
What's your germination method buddy? lets see if we can get to the bottom of it!

I've grown sweet seeds for the last 3 years and never had one not pop or grow for me (even packs that are over 2 years old stored in sub-standard conditions)

I recommend sweet seeds to all new growers and pass on my germination method for what it's worth.

Seed in the middle of kitchen towel.
Fold over, fold over again, and fold over again.
Lightly dampen kitchen towel
Place in a ziplock back (like a freezer back)
Place in small box or dvd case
Place ontop of a heat source like a sky or vigin tv box (I sometimes even put them under a 55w tube heater)

... Come back in three days and you will have tails (be very careful unfolding, the tails have been known to grow into the kitchen towel - you can check at 2 days, but the less man handling the better)

Very carefully drop the seed into your coco hole and lightly cover with loose coco.

Either spray the area or add 100-200ml of water (but not just dropped on the seed area - gently water it)

Water in coco should be kept around 5.8 unless your a coco pro and like to swing the PH range from 5.6 - 6.2 (but 5.8.gets the results)

Hope this helps and not trying to teach grandpa to suck eggs - just perhaps an alternative method that hasn't failed me or anyone i know .... yet :)

All the best

Blue ^_^

I just used your germination method and so far so good, thanks so much.

Can anyone help me with this? I am presuming its either heat stress or the start of light burn but any feed back on what it could be would be appreciated. The plant is 2 weeks old on sunday i think it was either yesterday or the day before i had moved the pot to the left front near the fan but I had it directly under the light middle front at about 17 inches i decided to move it to the left to give one of the bloody skunk abit more light i have 6 11 litre pots in the room. i just think there seems to be more heat closer to the fan and i read up a few forums and i can see it being anything else but heat stress as the grow room was warm the last 2 days tipping 31 degrees have dropped it down to 25 degrees and raised the light now to 22 inches any help would be great as i have not had the best of look with the bloody skunk out of 10 seeds only one is surviving at the minute my ph levels are all good only water every 2 or 3 days and keeping to a light nute schedule

It kinda looks like heat stress. But I am very new at this.

Yea i am thinking its the same thing i just raised up the light 5 inches sitting around 22 inches above the plant one leaf seemed to get it alot worse and that was deffo the side closer to the light in the last few hours has dried out quite abit and has a yellowing to the part curling. Decided just to use string and peg down each leaf lightly down make the plant more level have a few pics put in to show the light lst
