Hello everyone,

I have a lot of experience with photosensitive plants but this is my first experiment with autoflowers.

I have a few at various stages, I grow from seed outdoor so they're at the mercy of the weather (we're having far from a good season so far), but that's ok, it's an experiment.

Cool forum here, I've been enjoying browsing the grow logs especially.

Welcome to AFN Johnny

Cool on yer outdoor grow. You can make little tents for them auto's outside.

I am sure you will get a lot of ideas

Have you started a journal yet?:Sharing One:

Hey JJ

good to have you join us here. What kind of climate do you have in your corner of the world? And hat strains are you growing? And, do you have any pictures.

Yes I know I am a nosey old penguin. Can't help meself.

enjoy my friend, eP.

Thanks for the friendly welcomes guys!

They're kind of hiding out in the forest, shh ;), I thought a tent might be suspicious, might have to consider starting some indoor.. temps are 'ok' now, it's just all these clouds..

A journal might just be embarrassing, apart from being small for their ages, they are a bit beat up by bugs, thrips mainly, I've never worried about it with photoperiods, but maybe I should?

Climate here is a bit random, spring was like, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold, normally summer is intense, gets up around 125F but so far it's been cloudy.

Strains are; Auto Seeds Candy Kush, Dinafem Blue Amnesia XXL, and Dinafem Haze XXL.

Ok, so to embarrass myself here's a photo, maybe a good example of what not to do, as many cold nights as warm ones and as many cloudy days as sunny ones, and zero bug control.

Since it's an autoflower (this one is Candy Kush), you guys can pretty much tell exactly how many days old it is right?

Days old? :Haha:Nope, what I can tell you is she's stunted !!!! Happens to the best of us, Don't sweat it.

Hah, ok, well I thought since you can tell from the photo that it has just started flowering and since this strain is known to start flowering at 30 days, that you could tell that it's 30 days old.

That's a safe estiment but the breeders but that can be extended or shorten'd just by feeding veg longer or switching to flower sooner but on avg. 5 weeks.

Cool, thanks for the info. And yes I forgot to mention I was also tardy with feeding, I think it could have done with more sooner.
