last feed was

3ml Alg a mic, 3ml Root Juice, 1ml Grow, 1ml Fish mix, 2ml Bloom, 2ml Max per litre.

used above schedule last feeding. all nutes are biobizz in light mix soil. mixed 3 litres and added 2 tea spoons epsom salts to the mix. ph in and run off were 6.5

This plant was a slow starter which may have been to low temperature. plant only 38cm tall. last time i grew this plant was twice as tall by now. Bottom leaves are getting rust spots and dying. new growth ok. maybe too much feed.

I have had this problem before and always gets worse. was hoping the epsom salts would help (never used before but been using since start of this grow)

Have not flushed. Have been checking run off and pH is OK. Would you suggest a flush?

Yes... Only because it looks like something is being locked out. Your fan leaf tips have slight, very slight burn. So I'm gonna say not over fed.. New growth looks good...

What are your temps/humidity? Could be dampening... If she's not drying out in a proper amount of time... With an airpot she should dry out quickly in good temos/rh

So don't flush til we know your room temps and relative humidity...

Temps lights off 20deg C lights on 27deg c. Humidity been about 65 %. Had low temps for first couple of weeks during lights off about 17deg c. Does not seem to be drinking a lot of solution and slow growth throughout. Pos about 1 week behind previous grows. Has hit growth spurt last couple of days I think so could have been feeding too much.

Temps are a bit low... How long does she take to dry up between feedings? RH isn't too too bad... But if its that high with lower temps could be staying wet and cold too long... I'm gonna say 23 - 30c would be better.. If you can bump it up a bit I bet she'd turn around. If you've had this issue, before could be... I see another pot back there.. Do you have more plants or just her? And if so is she the only one doing this? I'm assuming so but I'll wait your response...

Hi Trip! (Rebstah- thanks my friend!)
...looks a lot like straight Mg defc., which you addressed with the epsom salts (MgSO3), right? Initial treatment recommendations are a fat T/gal, or 1 tsp./qrt., so you're good there ....yes--no flushie! LOL!... a stress not called for here,... I know Biobizz nutes are mild, but how frequently are you feeding them? As per Biobizz's schedule? ...low temps can slow absorption,... and I dislike the run-off method for soil pH estimates-- IMO, too many sources of error in making measurements.... if you can swing it, get an Accurate 8 soil probe pH meter (about $60)...no more guesswork! ...Mg defc. symptoms don't reverse much, what you're looking for is a halt to progression, and good looking new growth,....hammered leaves may die regardless too,...Mg is mobile in the plant, so lower leaves get tapped first,...***.... I highly recommend learning foliar spray methods; this is hands down the fastest way into the plant, and it bypasses any soil/root issues,... critical to this is a water spreader/wetting agent... these products take surface tension out of the soln. you're spraying, so they cover and coat more evenly,... access into the plant onleaves is only through the stomata, so the more surface area you cover, the more gets absorbed! Spray top AND bottom of leaves,... this is great when veg'ing, but it gets more risky during bloom due to mold issues and residues left behind,...there are ways, but you're not there yet so,...

Thanks for the help. Using a schedule biobizz emailed me for auto flowers. Have been using it for about a year now. Some grows brilliant. Others have same prob as this one. Yes I have 3 plants in tent. 1st 1 week old. This plant which is five weeks and another which is 7 weeks. The oldest plant had same problem which I was advised as you said to spray and add Epsom salts to solution . other plant cleared up so used Epsom salts from start on this plant at 1 tea spoon per 3 litres. This plant I increased dose to 2 tea spoon per 3 litres hoping problems would not happen but same again. Maybe bit worse. At the moment plant needs watering every 4 days. I think you are right about over watering. Was mentioned on last grow. Think will try watering until starts to run out rather than watterung until 10% run off. PS is a quart same as a litre? If I add Epsom salts to water can I add too much. Is can I up Epsom salts to 3teas spoon per 3 litre and use all way through? Would I be better getting a cal mag supliment?

...Hi Trip'- :slaps:LOL! I know, sometimes you wonder what the heck happens between grows, or even the same one but have different plant to plant results! Each pot becomes it's own ecosystem of sorts, lots of complexity going on in there, so over time, things drift differently for better or worse,... Ah! you have done foliar, and that's the right dosage for that- 1tsp/gal...... Oh yes, you can add too much epsoms! it's a salt, and build-up will be an issue if used at that initial treatment rate of 1tsp/qtr (or liter, which is a bit bigger than a quart)...general maintenance dosage is 1tsp/gal,... Hmmm, I'm wondering about your soil pH now, given what you said,... Mg can be locked out under fairly acidic conditions,... (oh, minor correction-- Mg symptoms can reverse some, except for really damaged leaves).... also, how much and how long have you been treating with epsoms now? If you've been giving dose at the initial treatment levels discussed, you just might have salt build up in there,.. both of thses can be why there's poor response to treatment.... If it's a salt build up thing, flushing will be necessary... it's a bit stressful to do this, if the pot stays soaking wet for long, but that can be dealt with,.... so, can you get me a soil pH? And let me know about how much and how often you were using the epsoms, and we'll go from there... flushing will help in both cases! ....yeah, a dedicated Ca-Mg supplement is a generally better choice,... :smoke:
*( a good trick for pulling extra water out of the soil : get a stack of newspaper, about 1/4 high, and set a couple paper towels on top, then place the pot on the towels,.. capillary action will help pull water into the towels and then newspaper.... Oh wait, you have air pots, with a raised bottom... okay, try a fat wad of paper towels, or a regular towel, even,... point is to get direct contact with the bottom and soil, so the capillary action can start working...)

Ok here goes. Dug my notes out.
Germinated seed in wet paper. Took 4 days which is longer than usuall but temps were low.
Day 1 - Put seed in airport and watered in with 6ml root juice and 3ml Alg a mic. Always mix 3 litres of solution at a time so all measurements are for 3 litres.
Day 6 - broke soil.
Temps were cold so put heater in room somewhere around now.
Day 17- second wattering. Usually have second watering about day 10 so not drank a lot of water. Plant was small but healthy. 6ml Alg a mic, 9ml root juice, 1.5 grow, 1.5ml fish mix. All in 3 litres water. Also added 5ml (tea spoon) Epsom to solution.
Day 24 - 9alg a mic, 9 root, 1.5 grow, 1.5 fish, 6 bloom, 3 top Max + 5ml Epsom to 3 litres water.
Day 25 - first white hair. Still very short.
Day 29 - 9alg, 9 root, 3 grow, 3 fish, 6 bloom, 6 top, + 5 ml epsom to 3 litres water.
Day 31 - first signs of problems. Plant still short but growth speeding up. Very dark green.
Day 34 - problems getting worse. 9 Alg, 9 root, 3 grow, 3 fish, 6 bloom, 6 top + 10ml Epsom to 3 litres.

On advice I got a pH kit. When solutions mixed up pH always about 6.5 tried texting run off and always been good but don't trust reading cause the water comes out the side of the air pots.

I have not sprayed as thought probably too late into flowering.

On my previous plant symptoms started about a week earlier than this one.
