IMAG0045.jpgIMAG0049.jpgI can't upload pics from my phone but my first set of leaf has a yellow spot on it, I am growing in MG with pre added nutes, it looks as if the veins of the leaf are lightened as well slightly. Is this a nute burn or what?

Hi ssd, I am growing big bang from ghsc, I am 1.5 weeks from seedling and I am using a 250w CFL bulb, I've flushed it in case it's nute burn and am hoping to see some change over the next few days. I'm a complete newbie and require medicine, I thought I had researched everything but I guess this is not the case! I don't want her to die LOL

This is a picture from my album. Does it look like nutrient burn to anyone?

Looks like a nice plant to me. All I see is a small brown spot. At that stage, it could be minor damage. I'd wait for more development. The worst thing you could do is start trying to fix a non-existant problem when the plant is in such a delicate period.

OTOH: MG nutes are regularly discouraged.

Thanks for your reply, im a complete noob at growing. I just have mini panic attacks but thank you for your reassuring words.

I know exactly how you feel. I was in your shoes 9 months ago. Avoid the tendency to "kill your plants with kindness." Be patient. Don't overwater. Invest in ph and tds pens. (I can recommend inexpensive ones.).

I don't have any experience with MG. It's hard to believe they're as bad as you'd gather from all the posts urging they not be used. But, there are nutrients that are more commonly used by cannabis growers. Grow More Sea Grow seems to be near the MG price point, but held in a much higher esteem. I'm using it right now.

Try to memorize the common deficiencies like P, K and Mg:

You're going to make mistakes. Keep notes of everything you do so you learn from it.

A quick update, she surfaced on the 26th, and has been repotted as I did not add perlite in my mix. Hopefully it's not stunted for too long, I am seeing a bit more yellowing on the veins of the leafs, and have got another seed germinating for an outdoor pot grow. I will not be using MG compost anymore and am considering store brand multi purpose compost. Any suggestions? I need advise on UK based nutes as well if anyone has any experience please let me know.

Firing a blunt of girl scout cookies....good night.

The largest producing autos that I have done so far have been done using MG Moisture Control soil. I don't use it anymore as I have gone more organic. But since ur using it I'll give you my experience with it. Its too hot for seedlings but eventually they will go. You just have to give them time. Try to refrain from giving any nutes through the soil but if you do so do it lightly as you can get nute burn very easily. I relied on foliage ferts the most:peace:
