Hi ollie, nice to meet you. What type of hydro are you growing in? When I've used my res as a combination top drip/DWC system I've run the top drip 15 min an hour. I have discovered the top drip is unnecessary with DWC. Good luck!

hya jackmc its hydro 60/40 mix from growells its got clay peebles and peat and coco in and the system is a wilma 4 bucket ive noy used the flood feeders yet always the drippers with my other grows what do you mean by the top drip sorry to be dumb

also will be running a 18/ 6 lights on so will four feeds at 15mins a feed be ok any thoughts anyone please

From another grower not my info :tiphat:

With the 4-Pot Wilma drip feeding system you can grow in a variety of medium, you just need to make sure to use the appropriate drippers. The 4-Pot Wilma System comes with two drippers 2lph arrow black drippers and 40lph blue flood stake drippers:
Arrow Drippers - Can be used with Soil, Coco or Rockwool but not with clay pebbles. Feeding times will vary, if these drippers are on for 15 minutes they will put out 500ml of nutrient solution so during vegetative growth once a day would be sufficient. As plants gain in size and you begin flowering you would need to up the amount of feeds to twice maybe three times a day depending on plant size.
Flood Stake Drippers - Are designed to be used with Clay Pebbles. When first introducing plants to the wilma system set your drippers to come on for 15 minutes every 6 hours but after a week or two once your plants have established you will need to up your feeding as your plants increase in size. You cannot over feed your plants with clay pebbles as they don't retain much moisture so always try and feed them a little more than they need. In full flower when your plants are at full size you want to be feeding for 15mins every two to three hours.

thankyou so i guess i stick with the black drippers as its a mix of cocco and clay pebbles so i should only give them one 15min feed per day until they flower then ?

ollie, I have a system that uses a water pump to top feed the net pots in my hydro system. The net pots sit over the Deep Water Culture (DWC) reservoir into which the roots hang in nutes. The manufacture of the system recommends 15 min top drip an hour which I've run. In my case the dippers would become blocked every grow so I stopped using them. Now I just use the DWC to feed the plants. I just looked at your system and it seems like you're using it as a hempy bucket. I've never grown that way. Ksj will sort you or try the Live Help thread. Peace

PS I use 18/6 light cycle also.
