New on these boards, did do a diary or two in the past on other boards.
Had some success with auto's & also did a Barneys farm BC with nice results.

I have a very minimalist approach and just use what is available to me, within reason of course, if the plants got LSF then of course I would get fungal spray.

I do however give them as much attention and love as they could dream of :)

Below are just a few pics of previous grow stuff, I have thousands so no doubt missed out some better ones but they will do the job.

It's not about the past its about growing new meds!

Sit back, spark up & enjoy! I will no doubt update a lot.

Just so you guys know I currently only have the Tundra seeds and they are currently germinating in my trusty old seed plastic tube thing in a dark cupboard.
It works wonders that tube thing, always germed within 12-20 hours in previous years.

I will get the other seeds when I can, the free seeds I may go guerrilla with with no effort put in and see what happens.

Here are your first pictures of this years grow, im sure you will find them super exciting =/....well have to start somewhere!

Hey man just wanna wish you luck!:buds:
ill be following your grow this summer since its similar to mine (check out northern guerilla)
:smokebuds:

@ defaze - Done! Had a look and subbed in yours, thanks for popping by:buds:

@yoda - Cheers, it has always worked great in the past, SUPER fast but I woke up this morning and there is none germed, its about 13-15 hours since I added them in now so getting concerned!
I know it is way too soon to get concerned but until one cracks i'm gonna be a bit fearful I think!

EDIT - Just a quick update to say that i have seen the shape of tap root within the shell & this has eased my mind over germination, I was a little tense as when I woke up they had not hatched, I know this is still VERY early but the method has always yielded tap roots 100% within 24hours.

I am now keeping them in the tube but also submerged in damp soil that has been allowed to heat up in the sun, It may seem strange but trust me on this, it will work!

higher temp than my cupboard, temp goes up/down more naturally as soil temp changes with natural temperature.
I will of course bring in overnight & return to cupboard.

Sweet pics!!
Plants look healthy from your previous grows.

Have pulled up a chair to see how this goes!

Sorry for double post but I deem this important! I was making my small original pots up today using my previous techniques of using any regular compost and a mix from my garden (superb soil)
I know this isnt a good technique but it has always served me well however the mix I created offered no drainage and the compost i have to use by itself in the mean time I just dont like it or feel I want to use it, I KNOW I can get much better results with a better medium.

Anyway long story short, I have ordered..

Plant Magic Soil Supreme 50L
Bio Bizz Fish Mix 1L
A Min/Max Dial thermometer (mainly for night time temps in my garage)

This completely goes against my absolute minimalist approach and I have never had a canna friendly soil/nutes before so this could be interesting but until my new medium is delivered I will have to be using basic supermarket compost..
I also have to keep my plants in the garage at night once they start flowering where in previous years I have kept them indoors at night.

Finally *drum roll* WE HAVE TAPROOTS PEOPLE!...on at least 3/4
My trusty tube doing it's job again!:dance2:

Update Day 8

Okay folks - well I have lost 2, they germinated but were struggling to get the seedheads off, one I helped but it died (think I pinched the top of it accidentally)
The other, the tap root rotted & never broke its shell properly.

The rest and okay and look like they will make it although one had issues opening its cotyldons so is behind the others.

Below is a picture of them earlier in the week as I tried to save a couple and help the others get going (no sun)

The next picture is from this morning :D
They are now all in plant magic soil.

I had my seeds delivered yesterday and not long before bed last night I started the germing fun!:check:

Seeds groupshot.

I thought since i couldnt use my tube for all of them and know what strains they are I would use the tissue method but i had a bad feeling about it and the tissue was very cold to touch.

So in the end I reverted back to what i know works for me, not quite as good as when I use the tube but the next best thing.

So 5/7 tundras still alive & 4 looking as good as you could expect with the poor weather this week and the Auto moscow, white rhino & my unplanned but new addition to the grow diary....think different are now germing and will be 1 week behind the tundras:thumbs:

Thanks for stopping by!

EDIT - All the news seeds are germinated and now in their initial pots.
The whine rhino is of course a photoperiod strain but when I was buying my seeds It came under autoflowering!!
I have a rough plan to deal with this though, it is not my first photoperiod plant I have grown, does have some obstacles outdoors and much increased effort but im up to the task!
Just hope it delivers as I have heard superb things about it but then also, alot of bashing on the green house seeds strain..

Here are some pictures just taken.

The tundras are on day 11 since I first put them into germination (not since they appeared as seedlings) and the rest are on day 3.
There is now just one White Rhino & one Auto Moscow yet to hatch out of the shell.

5/7 tundras have made it through to seedlings and I look set to be lucky enough to have 100% on all the other strains of which they are 3 seeds each.

All seeds are feminized.

I just gave 4 of the tiny seedlings a help in getting their shell off & now Im sticking them under a 18watt energy saver CFL just to perk them up and make sure they make it as the weather at the moment isn't doing the herbs any favours!

I will be performing LST on every single plant this year to keep height down & maximize yield, also gives me reason to spend more time with them:D
