@Uncle Seamus If you don't decarb your cannabis before infusing into oil, you will still get all the cannabinoilds in their acid form (THC
a, CBD
a, CBN
a, etc).
Cb1 receptors in the brain do not accept THCa and there is less chance of psychoactivity.
:smoking:
for sure i'll be decarbin once im there. Is it possible to tell if the stuff im currently using has been decarbed properly? For instance, i got some oil of a loose associate, was pretty runny, as if it had been mixed with water. Another bit I have recently got, is really thick, be great if I could have it tested somewhere..
Welcome to AFN,
Glad to hear you are growing your own meds. The reason why you are growing isn't. CANCER IS A BASTARD (runs in my family).
On a positive note.......THIS SITE IS THE GREATEST FOR INFO (even starts of friendship). Need any help, just ask. Need advice (about most things) ask. This is an awesome place to be for "The Green Plant Support". Welcome and happy growing.
Thanks for the welcome man! Its a fucker alright, It got me pretty early in life too (30 at diagnosis) but im strong and do the right things. Today, even after 25+, 3 day chemo cycles + High dose radiotherapy, plus one major op. Im in much better shape than when i started. The cancer had been growing in my body for number of years, thus i didn't realise just how ill I had become. Im gonna beat this bastard, not just for me, but for everyone that's been affected by it. This magnificent plant, is gonna play a big part in that.
Welcome Uncle Seamus
If you're attempting to avoid the psychoactive effect then you might look into suppositories if they're not inserted too deeply you can bypass a lot of the euphoria or paranoia.
Another option is competitive inhibition with an enzyme called apigenin. You can take that before you dose with oil about 30 minutes and that will let the cannabinoids circulate in your bloodstream longer before the liver processes them and that reduces some of the psychoactive effect. It also helps stretch out your oil a bit.
Have you heard about using carrier oils? And Liposomal encapsulation?
I've grown and tested a couple different High CBD strains from Dinafem and I'm also involved in testing a couple more strains right now. Ideally in my opinion you would want a plant higher in THC than CBD by a little bit for cancer and so far the plants I've tested the industrial plant CBD is very good. I've also tried the haze CBD by Dinafem and that's a one-to-one ratio I didn't find any psychoactive effect in that.
Where I'm currently growing
Where I'll be Nov 1st
Hey Jingo! Looked into suppositories, we decided to hold of on that (for now) purely on the off chance of it upsetting something in that region (my primary is bowel)
Apigenin tabs was recommended to me recently, for something other than not getting blasted of thc. Was recently gonna buy the tabs, made by swanson. They'll do the trick?
For absolute certain im after high THC in order to combat the cancer, however, what I do and what I actually like doing is chuffing a bit of cbd bud, one it relaxes me, two it brings the thc high down. Has been quite interesting experimenting with this.
I was using coconut oil mixed with thc. Also use c8 MCT oil, which i believe to be a super charged version of coconut oil, somewhat.
If i can get too dosing much higher amounts, without going the sphincter root, or having my finger constantly pressed in my mouth (tacking) I will be effing delighted!
This dinafem haze i need to check out. Have some 1.1 ratio seeds here, but their photo's and well afaik i can't grow them alongside the autos - which suit me down to ground right now in terms of time.
Will look into this Liposomal encapsulation.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to me guys, really appreciate it!
