Been around here lurking and soaking up, and thought it was time to register myself.
Been growing for 5 years, mostly photo but last 2 years trying out autos now and then, beans from Greenhouse, Dutch Passion and Royal Queen.
I run 3 tent with mh and his, but have decided enough is enough with silly electric bills so decided to switch to LED, after convincing myself they are up to the task and will save a Bob or 2 in the long run.
I usually run 12/12 with photos from start to finish, with autos stuck in there, and this has been working OK for the autos, especially the Dutch Passion varieties, recently pulled off 238g dry from an ultimate going 97 days, sharing a tent with SOG skunk#11. Not up with best grows, but decent enough for me.
I grow in soil, biobiss light usually but I like to fool around and try different types and things. I like to mix in some montmorillonite clay, about half a pound to a 30 liter air pot, mates call me Clay all the way, so there you have the reason for my username. I find it helps retain moisture and there is some good minerals and stuff in it, works OK for me.
I have already picked up some good knowledge here and hope I can make a small contribution myself every now and then.
Cheers
