Good morning from the land down under. Been reading the t5/cfl thread and have gained lots of info . Thks all . The thread looks a bit dead so I will ask you learned people here. I have got my hands on some cheap 135w 5500k cfls, do you think they can be used in a 2x2x4 grow space or is the 5500k an issue. Thks for all the great info and looking to contributing where I can.

Welcome to the forum Golfnut :styles rasta:
I think you can do it with the cfls, but it'll be beter if you wait for the expert tips on this. Best of luck on your grow :)

Hi and welcome golfnut, in short i would say yes they are fine but the recomendation is blue (6500k) for vegetative growth and the red (2700K) for flowering, but that said i have seen this question asked before and the responses have all been its fine to use that spectrum its just not optimal.

Hey nutty golfer,

welcome to AFN. Sorry, those lights are not my area of expertise. Along with just about everything else. But no doubt someone will chip in.

Enjoy, eP.
