Hello everyone , brand new grower here. More like experimental grower , I got a very tight budget closet grow going on.Using a 150w cfl, hope it's gonna be good for both ladies. One of 2 popped after planting them straight into wet soil , still waiting on the other. Forum's great , lots of good people and info. Cheers

Welcome . good luck with your grow. U need to start reading basic gardening books and start saving money. U at least need a decent light to grow a plant. A cfl bulb alone is not gonna do it brother. Hope all goes well for ya

Welcome to AFN .the light might be good for 1 maybe 2 short plants. Use something to keep them short.

Is there an LST method to keep them short? Should I go for it?

Hello and welcome to AFN. There are a few ways to keep smaller plants. You can use smaller pots 2L or 1 gallon to root restrict. But then you'll have to keep watch on watering as they will dry out faster.

Yes just bend like crazy . most of mine get at the least 4 foot tall and tallest was over 6 .I use 5 gallon pots.

I keep my auto plants short. I lst them 3 times. Looks like a bonsai tree

Watch the burn on 150cfl if you have a reflector. Two plants might struggle under one bulb. You could try turning the plants every day to even them out. Get more lighting when you can afford it. Another CFL will do, on a budget.
