Lighting HLG 600 on sale for $395 tell me I shouldn't buy it.

At my local shop and they have a HLG-600 used for $395. It's a V1 board.
i am running 4 QB96's in the space @400w so this would be a upgrade but I don't need it just want it badly.

The real question to ask yourself, is this a wise purchase? Will it give me a net gain in the end? and most importantly, Do I really need it or is it an impulse purchase you'll regret?

...But also do what makes you happy! tomorrow is never guaranteed

Yeah I would just move 2 of the lights I have into my 2x4.

I can get a 4 x QB like this (V3) for less than 50% more new. For a lamp that you are sure of hasn't ran full time for a couple of years and still comes with 2 years of warranty...
