Have you used the Honey Bee extractor?

Can't afford metal or glas extractor.

3 Q:

1. Will I get ok results with it.
2. How many cans of butan is necessary for full tube vs half filled vs a little?
3. How much powdered dry matter would be optimal to use pr. extracton or pr. standard can of ligter butane?

edit..nope,i think its yellow plastic ?

wait till you can afford, keep an eye on auction sites.
for safety allways fill the tube.
squirt till liquid runs clear.

Thank you for makin it clear.

Yes, there are two plastic versions. The Canadian Honey Bee and Queen Bee and one called Hash Maker, probably a rip off of Honey Bee.

Is the plastic per see you don't like or will glas/metal give a better quality product?

I have plenty of time. as I need the trim at sub standard buds from my Automazar grow to get enough material.

Checked the offers at ebay.uk.

The metal extractor seems safest. The filter is screwed on. On the glas tube, a filter is connected with "a ring".

What's the ring on pic 3 holding the filter, called in english?

the very first time i did a bho run i used a 1L plastic drinks bottle.my thinking was i may only do this once and may not like it,so wont spend any money on it.it worked out ok,i liked it so invested in some equipement.
even plastics that are considered safe today, after getting blasted with liquid butane be safe in 2/10 years time ? im not 100%sure.
a 'jubilee clip' was what we used years ago to attach garden hose to outside tap.hardware store.
i did search for a large tube as they are better value for money,in hindsight im glad i didnt buy a big tube.it would have taken me a year to save up enough trim.i stumbled upon a lil 10cm 5g tube screens clip included for £6.
id rather do 2 or 3 small runs than 1 larger run, gives me more practice lets me experiment a lil more.

*disclaimer dont be a glipe, watch lots of utube vids the good the bad and the ugly*
stay safe and goodluck.

it holds an oz of trim, and I ran a full can through. Final product was amazing. Very pleased to start with, I may move up to glass if I have extra money. Make sure to use an oven mit or BBQ glove. (and eye protection, all the PPE's)

I am an old lab rat and perfectly qualified to work with these dangerous techniques. Your bottle extraction scares me.
I agree on your statement on plastics. Glass I will break - and I have to pay my own equipment, so I think steel! Glass lab ware is expected to be broken.

Yes. I was considering her little sister.
How much final product did you get from an ounce of trim? Do you also extract the small buds?

As this is my first home grown weed, I tend to smoke 3. grade buds while waiting for 2. and 1. grade buds to dry. The Super Skunk is very euphoric. I smoked 3. grade buds all day long yesterday.

Ofcourse, as an old lab rat, I will take care of my self and not blow neither myself or others up. Actually, I think butane extraction is less dangerous than boiling on alcohols or petrolium products. - As long as one remember it is gas... Also way more stealthy and no fumes.

I'll be trying an extraction next weekend, I'll so my best to document the process. I didn't weigh the last effort, but the quality was great.
Please, document everything meticulously. Important to keep the notebook up to date!

Plastic extractor of the Hash Maker brand is ordered and the order shipped out today.

Two days of process engineering and writing up of the protocol. As everyhing I do, it will be thoroughly logged in my daily journal.

To days reminder on the importance of being manic about keeping good notes.
Everything we do is experimental biology and chemistry. It must be recorded. After completing a number of note books and reviewing them, you will develop skills and experience. Have you had a defficiency or problems with overfeeding, you will have a note about the observation. Then you can go a few pages backs, find the problem and learn from the mistake. I use to say to my students that it's completely ok to do s mistake. Just learn from it. If you don't learn form your mistakes, there was no point in doing it wrong in the first place. If you have no journal, you will repeat your mistakes.
