New Grower How do I use nutrients with Sunshine Mix #4?

hey cliff. I can say it now you are going to be busy with 25 auto's. I am just finishing up a grow of 21 and wow was it a ride. I am using sunshine 4 mix also so if you want to check out my thread it is in my signature and you might find some things you are looking for. I was running advanced nutrients but still might find some useful info... I would sow them directly into final pot. I put mine in 3 and 5 gallon pot directly all under 3 600 watt MH then into flower under 3 1000 watt HPS. Go check it out if you want and see what you think
Using sunshine and advanced nutrients my soil ph never left 6.3-6.5 the whole grow feeding them with a ph of 6.4. and I would not bother using dolomite lime in sunshine like you might read about. it is already in there and works very well

Holy hell Batman, 25 autos. I hope you are retired and a hermit cliffhanger, you are gonna be busy.

On the bright side, you shouldn't have to grow much for the remainder of the year. Give us some info on your grow, indoors/outdoors, lighting, etc. You have peaked my interest with this one.

Best of luck on your journey. You have definitely come to the right place for help with autos! Many helping hands here to keep you away from the cliff. Pun intended.

Sunshine #4 is a soil-less medium. Some people treat it like hydro but that depends on grow style and nutrients your using. I treat it like soil and ph it at 6.3-6.5 but I think the Advanced ph Perfect keeps it ok for me but may not for someone else using different nutrients like yours....It is a lot like pro-mix...... I wouldn't start the nutrients for 1-2 weeks when you do start I would start light with fertilizer until their established enough

The Squid had problems running hight PH in soilless.
Move it around, and see what works.

I had tons of problems with my promix at hydro ph when I first started. Namvet and JM suggested running at 6.3-6.5 and I haven't had a problem since. That is with GH Flora.

thanks taviddude so is sunshine 4 considerd soilless

Yes, Sunshine 4 is peat, perlite and coco coir with lime for ph stabilizer. Also there is mycorrhizae and a starter nute. The starter nutes in promix run out about 2 weeks in so I would assume sunshine is probably the same.

Welcome to the community! You certainly are taking on an ambitious project with all those plants but it's going to be great fun!

I agree with others who will warn you away from Miracle Grow....I used it once, before I knew better, and it burned the heck out of my babies. I'm doing hydro now so I'm in control of the nutrients...for better or worse! Best wishes on your grow!
