How to boost supersoil/organics during bloom

This post isn't so much about boosting, more about correcting.. I've read through a few threads where people had issues with pH, and unfortunately, my old hydro pH pen is junk, so I need to get another one, however....

What is the preferred way to adjust pH shifts with supersoil?? I was doing great up until a week or so ago, and now 2 of my 3 plants are showing some severe deficiencies.. It was originally just one, which I thought I had let dry out too much, and now that I've been watering it regularly (about every 2 days now), I'm not sure if the deficiency has cleared up because most of the large fan leaves had turned yellow.. The leaves are still in good shape, in terms of structure and none of them have dried up or wilted, however.....

The largest of my 3 plants is starting to do the same thing, and that one seemed to be doing great up until a few days ago.. I hate to think my tap water suddenly went north or south in terms of pH, however, it's a possibility.. About to go to the store to get another pH pen, because I need to start ruling stuff out.. I wanted to avoid using things like lemon juice or baking soda, however, if those are the most friendly, then I guess that's what I need to do..

Keep in mind, all 3 of them have the SAME batch of supersoil, the SAME base soil (from even the same bag), and have been watered almost all simultaneously, with the SAME batch of tap water.. The smaller of the 3 still shows great color and vigor and almost seems like it's gonna be due to be chopped in the next 2 weeks or so.. I haven't checked trich formation, but the coverage is great and almost all of the pistils are orange, so either it's about to hit another growth spurt, or it's gonna be a 10 week plant, which will be the shortest of ANY of my grows.. The largest plant literally looks like it's still got a month's worth of growing, and the other looks just pathetic, so honestly, as long as there are trichs, I can chop and use it for oil..

well without pics I would have to say possibly mnot PH. could be certainly but it also could be a lacking of the soil too. which will pull directly from the plant when or if any extra is needed. but the soil is where your buffering comes into play bro. if you get regular seasonal swings in your well water like me,thats normal man. i never have a problem but I work my soil more than others as a rule.

but if your going to use a PH correcting thing I would just add a little bit of Baking soda to swing it closer to where you need it and thats it,it does NOT need to be an exact thing loike a lot of chem growers think is the case man. chem side of growing and organics are NOT..i repeat NOT NOT NOT compatible at all. so to PH your water is not the fully correct thing to do. the soil is where its buffered. so if its a PH thing a top coat of limed soil is needed or if its a lack of foods a tea AND topping of the pot is required imo

Instead of posting pics a few times, it's the first post I did on my newest thread.. So the weird part is that the plant that has been showing deficiencies the longest, the leaves haven't recovered in the sense of turning green again, however they are all still hardy and reaching for the lights, so I believe the pH situation is covered, however the largest, after even a light sprinkling of a locally-made granulated powdered fert, haven't really done much for the last 48hrs, as I've pulled off a handful of dying leaves.. Sorta thinking they're Cal/mag deficient, however, the Ca is decent in the local water (not well water, but public utility..) Could maybe be P deficiency, but that should be alleviated by the local stuff, as it has a rating of 2-10-5, so I'm not sure.. Any ideas guys??

man, thats really not my department LOL unless its too hot or a bad mix, i usually dont have issues. I would ask @Waira to possibly take a gander at it. or the live helpline thing, which is also good. but me, I would say its just an under feeding thats imbalanced and causing issues.myself I honestly dont remember the last time I took a PH or any soil or water reading. and the effects ive long since forgotten if its water related.

I was kinda thinking the same thing myself, as I think I could've definitely put a bit more supersoil in the bottom.. The other plant that has been in the 4.5gal window planter is rich, green, albeit a bit short and stalky, but is happy, and I can tell she's nearing "end-of-life" mode as I checked the trichs earlier and at roughly 9 weeks, she's at about 5% amber, but she's still plumping up a bit, so I may let her go another week or 2 because her leaves are VERY green.. The other one that I think I let dry out too much, won't recover from the yellowing, however, the leaves are still performing photosynthesis because they haven't wilted or even shown that they were gonna fall off..

Anyway, I may shoot over to Live Help to see what they say.. I know I pulled some necrotic leaves off of the big plant earlier, but I will be watering tomorrow with just plain tap water and hoping the organic nutes I tossed in start to show a better effect.. I'm borderline with it being multiple things because the pot is small.. Just my luck that when I planted all 3, I got 3 different phenos and the biggest one was in the smalled pot.. I wanted to say it's 18ltr but it just doesn't seem quite that big, may be 15ltr?? It's been 9-ish weeks and it literally looks like it could go another 3-4, but the yield would be one of my biggest plants yet, which to me is hope.. lol

:pass:JT, EoF, what's good homies?
...JT, are you sure there's a pH issue? it's entirely possible, but without a solid reading with a pH probe, (EoF may conform this: flushing in that type of soil is a no-no unless it's dire...), it's not wise to attempt any adjustment blindly!... That said, looking at the pic in the other thread, I'd say it's all fan leaf consumption; no pH related tip/edge burn, spotting, funky mixed symptoms,... leaves just look like they typically do when the mobile nutes (N, P, K and Mg especially) are getting tapped... Also, organics take days to get broken down and made available, so symptom correction will take days in turn,... Each pot will be it's own little ecosystem; even clones may perform differently in the same soil set-up, etc.,...same strains too often, and different strains for sure,... other plants are no measure! So, leave the leaves until they drop off normally, and let the plant tap out what's in there at least,... I've had plants that ate fans kinda early, and fed a little extra, with little effect for whatever reason,... now's not the time to be loading her up anyway, since bud ripening is something that goes down at variable speeds-- she may finish sooner than you think,.. watch those trich's carefully!

You guys fucking rock!!!!! That makes a lot of sense!!! I didn't really load it up; maybe added about 2-3oz of dry ferts top dressed, maybe out of desperation but i'm not realizing after reading your post that it may not matter as they may not break down quick enough.. 2 of the 3 plants are definitely looking like they're gonna be ready soon, I just hoped the larger plant would swell commensurate with it's size.. I may still feed it some heisenberg tea this week and just keep an eye on it's overall state.. Thankfully, the majority of the plant is still relatively green, so I figure it may still have plenty of food for now.. i'm popping my next seeds this week and will try to do a side-by-side with the Kind soil to see if my recipe is lacking anything so when I make my next batch of super soil, I can ammend appropriately..

Thanks again for all the guidance and hope!!!!

hey Thanks bro @Waira as he said I thought from the leaves it was a lack of feeding and a lower dying of a leaf. but specific defs and PH stuffs ,is sooo not my area of dealings,cuz,well... I never have issues like this.LOL unless its too hot which looks similar but more spotting and scorched like tips and edges. but depends on the way your feeding ,it can be helpful within 24 hours to a plant with organics.just depends on the delivery system. but he's totally right, loading them up with foods messes with the taste and especially if you go hard near the end like some people do,and again, will hose up the flavors and terps as well.
