This post isn't so much about boosting, more about correcting.. I've read through a few threads where people had issues with pH, and unfortunately, my old hydro pH pen is junk, so I need to get another one, however....
What is the preferred way to adjust pH shifts with supersoil?? I was doing great up until a week or so ago, and now 2 of my 3 plants are showing some severe deficiencies.. It was originally just one, which I thought I had let dry out too much, and now that I've been watering it regularly (about every 2 days now), I'm not sure if the deficiency has cleared up because most of the large fan leaves had turned yellow.. The leaves are still in good shape, in terms of structure and none of them have dried up or wilted, however.....
The largest of my 3 plants is starting to do the same thing, and that one seemed to be doing great up until a few days ago.. I hate to think my tap water suddenly went north or south in terms of pH, however, it's a possibility.. About to go to the store to get another pH pen, because I need to start ruling stuff out.. I wanted to avoid using things like lemon juice or baking soda, however, if those are the most friendly, then I guess that's what I need to do..
Keep in mind, all 3 of them have the SAME batch of supersoil, the SAME base soil (from even the same bag), and have been watered almost all simultaneously, with the SAME batch of tap water.. The smaller of the 3 still shows great color and vigor and almost seems like it's gonna be due to be chopped in the next 2 weeks or so.. I haven't checked trich formation, but the coverage is great and almost all of the pistils are orange, so either it's about to hit another growth spurt, or it's gonna be a 10 week plant, which will be the shortest of ANY of my grows.. The largest plant literally looks like it's still got a month's worth of growing, and the other looks just pathetic, so honestly, as long as there are trichs, I can chop and use it for oil..
