Imagine yourself living in aincient sumerian or Egypt or Greece or Rome and you're a farmer. You want to plant marijuana but you're living in antiquity so theres no stores where they sell liquid nutrients or dry amendments. How could you pull off growing marijuana in aincient antiquity using only traditional tools an aincient farmer from those days had?

It's a weed, you plant the seed in best you got and let it go.

Although it was previously thought that the concept of fertilizer use may have only dated back 2,000 to 3,000 years, it is now believed that early farmers were using manure to fertilize their crops as long as 8,000 years ago.

I don't know where I'd get the seeds from but I'd just use the techniques of the time. They are long-forgotten to the sands of time but they would be all I'd know.

This is a subject but very big and interesting . Observation was a big part , Don't forget they would have the time for it , No Tv , internet ect , Cow - horse - donkey -Kangaroo manure would be a big part of it as well, The type of crops and soil would depend where you live , Moon faze was very important to them as well due to there beliefs , selection of seeds for next years crop would be taken into consideration . If you look at the history of cannabis it grows in most environments within reason , Human urine would have been used , don't forget it is not like modern urine , full of all sorts of crap . ,

Well if I was a farmer growing in ancient times I'll be doing the same practices that I'm doing now.
ie. composting manure, composting table scraps, growing in fertile soil that is dark and looks good and smells good where other plants are grow very well at.
Preferably an old Lakebottom or the edge of a river or swamp.

I'd get a patch of land and keep a pig on it. The pig would turn the ground over and manure as it goes.

After that I'd kill the pig, eat it and grow my crops on that land.

I am thinking lots of compost and manures. Maybe some fermented plant juice from the growth tips. Definitely try and have some worms if possible.
