I've been reading about preventative measures to keep my indoor garden free of pests. And from what I've read so far. A very easy way to get them (especially the cannibis spider mites) is by visiting another garden, from pets or walks in the woods. I have four local hydro stores from whom I've bought soil from (ff happy frog) and every one had fungas gnats as soon as the water hit the soil. 3 of the stores have 4×4 tents set up with house plants growing in them. They also keep the doors open in the summer. Should this be a concern? Obviously there are people in and out of the store coming right from their own gardens all the time. Seems to me a hydro store would be a perfect place to make contact and bring some home to my garden. Has anyone ever run into this problem or have an opinion? Thank you

That's something to think about. I've had that happen with happy frog but I thought it might just be a living soil thing. I have a open room with a outdoor cat that loves to sleep in there but it looks like I will make it another summer without the dreaded mites
