I left town for a bit but got back and the widow was rather long and the blue dream hatched. The two hemostats were waiting at my door and I did the best I could, but George too strong.. squash seeds like flies on dead horse.
I keeed..
Is the height of the light alright? Leave the light on? Btw, should I get a timer to auto turn on and off the light?

Just leave it for now, right?

oopzy! um, i did say u could jus uze reg tweezerz, right-? so, both thoze beanz are history now-? ok, well, all is not lost if at first u don't succeed, blahblahblah...:smoking: there'z actually various wayz to do it really...again, i meself don't do the paper towel step, and for the same reazon that MoG explained in his post...i jus soak me bean for 36-48 hrz in a lil 2 oz glass, which is plenty o' time for it to sprout a tail, then i jus take a plastic spoon, gently scoop it out, set the spoon down, and then the hemostat procedure i explained...but, like i say, that'z jus how i meself do it & there'z def more than one way to skin a cat, meow tbh, a lotta peepz jus put a new bean straight into the dirt, with no pre-germing of any kind...i've done that too & as long as u keep the soil lightly misted, it workz jus fine ur tent & light are lookin great, and yup, u'll wanna pick up a timer for the light set it so they'll get an 18/6 cycle & all will be good ...well, at least until the next issue comez up, hehe fear not bro, we'll getcha dialed in ppp

I was kidding ("I keeed"), but maybe joking about it will jinx it, so I won't do that anymore lol. I got em in there pretty good for a first attempt. How long before I should be seeing a couple of turtle heads pokin' out?

ok, that'z good to hear sorry, me stoned brain simply didn't catch the "keeed" part, lol anyhoo, it could be a day, or mebbe 3-4 dayz, ya jus never know jus keep the soil in the center of the potz lightly misted 2-3 timez a day is all (not the whole pot, jus around where the beanz are, that'z all), and they'll come up, i assure u once they do break soil tho, u'll wanna give em lil humidomez, cuz lil seedlingz need high rh for the first week or so...i meself jus uze a clear water bottle cut in half & it workz fine...u may have seen picz of such elsewhere on site, but if not, jus check out the latest entry in me own forevercrazy thread in me sig to see what i'm talkin bout ppp

I'll ask further about the "humidomez"k and the rh issue, but they both popped up and the blue dream was too shallow (I'm guessing), because the shell came up.wtf.. but I buried it half the length from tip to tip.

hey, it'z all good & they do seem to come up half the time with their lil helmet still on...tiz a lil thing called nature is all now is when i meself get em under a dome & lightly mist the soil...yes, including da bebe ...every 8 hrz or so...if their helmet is still on, a lotta timez jus keepin em moist is enuff to help em ditch the shell on their own in a day or two...i jus had the same thing happen las nite after me BellaBlue appeared, then about 4 hrz later, it came off on itz own, so... sumtimez tho, they do end up requiring a bit of help, and well, we'll cross that bridge if/when we come to it, lol :smoking: ppp

You mentioned about the humidity and rh? Can you get a little more detailed about that.. please?

noooooo! u sillee man, lol first of all, it would serve absolutely no purpose...all the goodness liez in the trichomez, and u've still got another month before thoze even start, haha secondly, a seedling needz every lil leaf it has, becuz that'z the only way it has of absorbing energy from the photonz of light

as to humidity, simply put, seedlingz need a lot of it, lol...preferably up around 75-80% the first week or so, then down to mebbe 60-70% the second week, and after that, it can go down to 50-55%...then, during flower, u'll want it 40-45% or so...but don't trip if u can't achieve thoze exact numberz the reazon for the dome is to help keep it humid, cuz ur puttin it over the soil area that ur keepin misted...i g'head & mist up inside the dome as well 3-4 timez a day domez also help to keep the lil bebez warm, cuz they need it around 80-82f at first and well, i don't believe in hijackin other peep'z threadz with big HUGE picturez, lol, but i'll include a small pic below of me lil BellaBlue'z dome to show u what it'z all about...jus click to enlarge ppp

I'll keep my pics small as well. I should start a dome now or wait a bit? And I was gonna ask if I should fire up the small fan on low that I just rigged up in there. Just to get some slight circulation going in there. No?

I have my fan inside the tent to generate a bit more heat as the LED I use is quite cool. I have an oscillating fan mounted on the side of the tent to put a gentle breeze through the foliage and also a static fan on the floor to blow up under the canopy. Maybe this pic will help you:
1. Is the filter, in-line fan and duct out of the tent
2. Oscillating fan
3. Hydrometer/thermometer, hanging from sting so I can adjust to canopy height
4. Static fan

FYI, the white ducting you can see on the front right of the pic comes from another in-line fan I have, I use it to pump cool fresh air in to the tent, at canopy level, if/when I need to.

Edit: oops replied to an earlier post when you were asking about fan/duct location lol! That’ll teach me to smoke and post!
