New Grower I want amber trichomes!!!

I am on week 8 with my PKA, and no amber trics :trichs: just yet. I know these ladies can go (10 to 11) weeks. By the way thanks for the great thread Muddy! "The life cycle Thread" :thumbs: I have a two part question. First, when I get to around week 10 or 11, will I start to see amber trics? Second, I read that after your chop :ama: that the trics will continue to turn during your drying, and curing process . Is this true????? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! P.S. I want the most narcotic/couch lock feeling I can get!!!!! The sleepier the better for me! Thanks Again!!

They don't necessarily continue to turn, but they mostly continue to degrade from oxidation. Especially if not stored right. Your best option would be to get a jewelers scope off ebay for less than 10 bucks. They come in handy with checking out the trichomes. If you have an 8 week strain, generally 2-3 more weeks added should give you a majority of amber trichs. GL

I f your try's are all cloudy you'll just have to wait a lttle longer for ambers.Don't forget that some autos dont get amber trychomes.

I have no problem waiting. What the fuck is the point in selling an Indica Dom strain, if the trics aren't going to turn amber? Don't make no damn sense. That's why I got these beans in the first place. I FN HATE SATIVAS, and that speedy, cerebral head high BS! If I wanted to go into cardiac arrest, I would have just gotten me some Jack Herer from the jump.

Namvet is correct, not all auto strains, even indica ones, turn amber. Ambering is a response to UV light and it seems that some of the artificial light sources we use don't provide enough UV to trigger the change. But that doesn't mean you can't get the narcotic stone that you want. Let them go long, 11, 12, even 13 weeks if needed, till all the fan leaves are used up and the bud leaves are yellow and dying as well. You'll get a good stone off of it.
