Lighting If you had $5000 to blow on leds for your room - what would you buy?

I think he is still offering 20% off for afn members too. If not he will still hook you up. Best bet is to send him an email and see first hand how passionate he is about his lights and the industry. Top notch all the way around and I guarantee you'll be thrilled. If you need any more help feel free to shoot me a pm.

I was just looking at Tasty LEDs just now, they have a t4-2100, 335w, maybe 7 of those. That would look pretty bad ass.
The amare sp900 is really nice, a few of those would be awesome!
The pro9 needs 48" height with lenses. It's a commercial panel made for high bay applications. Im not sure the exact specs but it's 30-40% more powerful than a 1000w de hps

im really leaning towards 5-6 amares in a 10x10, ive seen and heard so much good stuff about them.
Im waiting on a few responses from some reps on pricing.

This money is burning a hole in my pocket lol

Send victor a direct email. 20% off for afn members. He would also be the one to extend it possibly for a large order like yours.

What about plasma? Ever considered that? The only reason we dont see heap loads of them is solely because of price.

If I was just looking for stuff to test out, induction is another that I've always wanted to try out. Too pricey for me, but looks nice. Looking for more "tried and true" suggestions, I'm a Platinum LED fan from use and like the Amare and Tasty products for my wish list from what I've seen others running around the forums.

Inda-Grow induction with their far red LED pontoon that's on my "want to test" list:

Honestly SMO said it best. Regular LED tech was good, and probably still is. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, anything with legit COB technology is the way to go. The amount of usable photons from the energy used is incredible and will only get better.

Wow that sounded like something I would write. Very intelligent LOL!! Your exactly right Calvin. Regular LEDs are great, but very very expensive. The Cree xp-g3's and xp-e2's in the Amare are a few bucks each. I believe Apache tech has an all Cree panel and the cost is 2600 for a 600w. They do get the cob efficiency but the cost to do it in small 3&5 watt LEDs is nuts.

Any updates man? I'm interested to hear how you made out and what you chose.

If your going to buy high power lights, you need a lot more to go with it. CO2 is the only way to get max potential from your plant with powerful light. You want a good regulator and a CO2 monitor. You also want a good extraction fan and filter, bigger plants equal bigger stink!

And hey! I tell everyone they should try auto pots and grow a plant like this:
