In need of help ( first timer )

Don't know what this is about... But light color changes growth pattern. His light needs to be closer for faster growth, he is using cfl 30".

Some strains stay low and stretch later, some just stay squat for other reasons like medium, ph, nutes etc.
My cremetasmo had gnats and made her small.

But I would bet something else like bugs causing problems but more light won't hurt.

I have been checking for any insects and have found very few, and nothing eating or disturbing the leaves on top or the underside, I have Neem Oil if something would happen, and Diatomaceous Earth as well. It just seems to have stopped growing in height all together and I am not sure why. 20190315_194627.jpg 20190315_194610.jpg 20190315_194627.jpg 20190315_194610.jpg 20190313_094717.jpg

I had mealy bugs or root aphids and if you found and kinda of bug in dirt, theres thousands more your not seeing. Neem oil dirt and see if it helps. Neem is organic and safe, plus kills everything thats bad.

Ok posting some more pics, I used the neem oil, and some DE on the soil. She has definitely picked up a little more height, but still very small. I did the first LST today as well. but a few leaves are yellow brown on some of the smaller new growth. just 1-2 leaves as of now. I turned the LED's on tonight too. sorry but small area I am trying this at, this is only a 2x2x4 grow.

:toke: --- I think the temps have been a bit too low, long term,.. how low at lights off? This can really reduce them is size, I went through this myself in the past,... also, the lights can be closer because they are fluoro's,... drop them down some, say 18",... fluoro' light is very poor at penetration, it fades out faster than HID or LED light it seems,.... they look healthy otherwise mate!
I thin k you got lucky with the FFOF soil,.. more often than not, it's badly off pH, it's the [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] problem soil I see in here! HF is a little better,..... Roots Organic original is solid stuff, lately I'm running Royal Gold Kings' Mix and loving it!
Look inot getting a soil pH probe, like the Accurate 8 --> :phsoil:(long probe here)... i love mine, served me well for years and still does,.. forget the skinny cheapo ones you see around they are crap,... Amazon it, and look for a deal,... monitoring and adjusting (if needed) input's pH and in-pot pH will go miles to preventing many common problems.... pH prob's are the most common we see here hands down!

I have a Soil tester and the PH is sitting around 6.8 to 7, Temp has been 72-75F, and 50RH.
CFL are 22in away, LEDs 12-14in away. As to FFOF, I balanced the soil for 2 weeks prior to using and froze it before balancing.

weeelll, those skinny probe units are lousy for accuracy, I've tested a couple brands out and brought them back- :nono: ..just a heads up there!
...lower the CFL, raise the LED's, those are stronger,...

maybe I got a good one, because I went out to a nursery with mine and asked them to see if it was calibrated properly, had one before that wasnt and this one was okay. I will go ahead and raise the LEDS and lower the CFL's

Think it would be okay to trim some of the large 5 finger leaves from the bottom??, marked with arrows on the one pic
