Hello All!

I've been visiting this site for a few months, and I'm now finally getting around to making myself official. I'm currently growing Auto Anubis and Auto New York City, as well as a regular Afghani, which was a freebie.

I say this is grow 1.5 because my husband was cool with me growing some bag seeds last year that our friend left at our house, but I accidentally killed them mid-veg with too much heat.

I'm not currently doing a grow journal because I wanted to focus all my attention towards a successful harvest. My Anubis is well into flowering and was around 30 inches tall when I last measured her. If anyone has grown this strain, I'm curious about others' opinions about their overall experience with this strain. How many days did the whole cycle take (germ to harvest)? What were your thoughts about the end result (i.e. flavor, aroma, effects, etc...)? I haven't had much luck finding much info about the Anubis, so any info would be much appreciated.

My Auto New York City is still a baby, she's only about 3 weeks old, but I'll post pics of each soon.

Looking forward to becoming part of this community.

Hi IrishK :)

A warm AFN welcome to you :welcome: nice to have you with us.

No worries about not having a journal, start one when you feel ready. When you feel like starting one the "New Growers" section of the forums would be a good place to start.
By making a journal you will get some of our nice members dropping by and lending a hand when you need one and a great way to meet some new friends.
I'll give you a link - New Growers Forum just click it and you'll be taken to the page.

Auto Anubis is not an auto I have grown but if you type "Anubis" in to the search box (top right of the screen) you will see there a number of posts regarding that strain.

Anubis Strain info -
Auto Anubis is an Indica dominant variety and has a compact growth structure, she does not grow taller than 60-130cm, but - get some "Wide Load" stickers - more in width, adding to her productivity. After 8 weeks (67 days outdoors) it is time to reap the fruits of your care and time and you will bring in 500-550g of buds. The weed has a THC level of 15% and just the right pinches of CBD and CBN to provide a nicely balanced high.

Flavor profile - sweet aroma and grapefruit flavor

I look forward to you posting some nice pics, we really love to see peoples plants, so send us plenty :D

Happy growing and see you in the forums

Arty

:welcome:Hey Irish,
Yeah! Another grow girl! I'm glad you posted here. This is my first grow, I lurked for a while, but this is THE best place, hands down. No question to silly, no judging, no egos it's all good here.
:jump:
Like arty said type in search see what you come up with and go to new growers forum too.
:cooldance:
I've no journal either, but i keep personal notes and take tons of pictures. I've got 4 different strains in dwc, an emotional 15 year old, 6 cats and handfeeding a kitten so it's about all i can do to to keep up!
:kitty:
Welcomes Welcomes and good luck! You can't go wrong here!

Ha! Typo or not, being inappropriate keeps interesting.

So... Meet Sally! Yes, I named my plants (mainly as a quirky precautionary measure).

She's just over 10 weeks from when she broke through the soil. Unfortunately, she probably won't reach full yield potential though, because we started out with a 2-tube, 4' grow light from Home Depot and 2 single 2' SO T-5's for the first 5 weeks; plus we didn't use very large pots. We switched to 4 - 4' T-5's on April 30th (started out with 4 blue, and then replaced two of the blue with red). We've been using the FF trio, and also gave her two rounds of FF Open Sesame one and two weeks ago, plus one round of FF Beastie Bloomz just yesterday.

I've been referencing Ed Rosenthal's Grower's Handbook, but I just can't confidently pinpoint where she's at, all I know is there's more time left.
