Nutrients Info on Overdrive &/or Bud Candy needed

High you all,
I'm heading to the Hydro store in a little bit & was thinking about buying some Overdrive or Bud Candy. I've never used either before so I'm gonna ask, "Do they do any good" ?
I use all GH products now : Flora Micro, Grow, Bloom, Rapid Start, Armor Si, Cali-Magic, Floralicious Plus, Diamond Nectar, Flora Nectar, Flora Blend & Liquid Kool Bloom.
If I buy O.D. or Bud Candy which of the GH Products should I eliminate & replace with the O.D. / Bud Candy ? Or ... should I keep using everything & add the O.D. or Bud Candy to the line up?

Im sorry for the late reply.

It looks like you almost have the full line of GH products to use. To be honest Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy is pretty much just molasses in a fancy bottle. Molasses is known to give your micro heard in the growing medium a sugar boost which can also help with flavor enhancement among-st numerous other small benefits.

As far as i remember Advanced Nutrients over-drive is just a pk booster of sorts or a bud fattener.

So i imagine if you are using the full line of GH products that you probably have all these areas covered and would just be over doing it if you decided to use these on top of your current line.

Im not familiar with GH as i have never had the chance to use them before. But most companies bring out the the same nutrients with their complete product lines etc with different names on the bottle so it can get kind of confusing.

I agree with the Grim Reefer. I’m a noob, but already a big fan of sticking to one nutrient provider. It’s going to be overkill. If you’re not happy with GH, consider switching the whole lineup. I’ve used the GH line and didn’t have problems but recently switched over to Megacrop and supplements, it makes things so much cheaper and easier.

I was kind of thinking what you just told me; but just wasn't quite sure. Floralicious Plus I believe is the Molasses additive (or at least it smells like it). I add Molasses to every watering the last 2-3 weeks anyway. So I guess Bud Candy is not what I'm looking for. I still might buy the O.D. to see if it does anything. At over $50 a qt. I sure hope it does...LOL. Thanks for the input.

As i said over drive is just a pk booster. Im fairly sure you already have that coverd in you GH line. I just think its a waste of money as your pretty much just buying a product that you already have.

But do what you think feels best, im just sharing my opinion and trying to help you. Dont let me stop you experimenting and trying out new stuff.

I wish I knew someone who had O.D. because I just want to try it on 1 of my 14 plants to see if it makes any difference or not. Just trying to see if it really produces bigger buds or if it does the same thing as what I'm already using. Going to look on Ebay to see if I can find a smaller bottle to test out. I'll never know for sure unless I try it. I appreciate your advice. Thanks !!!

Advanced Nutrients are a good company. But they are also good at marketing their product. Dont be fooled by that. Most nutrient companies are the exact same.

Found a 250 ml. bottle on Ebay for $12.95 so I ordered it. Not too much invested that way & if no difference I can give it to my buddy who is just starting out growing. I am considering trying all A N products on my next grow to see if different nutrients really make any difference. I see people saying they're getting over 10 oz. off 1 plant. The most I've gotten is 4.5 oz. I want to know "How the hell are they doing it" ? My temps never get over 82 F so Co2 is not going to help (temps stay between 75 -82 all the time with about 40% RH). It's not perfect but within range. pH is always 6.3 - 6.4. I don't understand the ppm thing or know how the pen works or how to calculate what nutrient it needs more of by ppm. Somebody write a topic on "Calculating ppm & how to use the pen".

I get great results, 6+oz a plant with simple dry hydro nutrients. I add a simple PK boost in flower and that's all. Nutrient lines sell a bunch of water in my opinion. However with that said an is a great company as are many on the market, I dont think you need the full line though. If you have a good base with a few essential add ins you'll be just fine.

I'm starting to wonder if Auto's put out more bud than photo's. It sure looks that way to me by what I'm seeing so far. I'm really impressed by 3 of the 8 plants in my large tent. The Girl Scout Cookies, BCN Critical XXL & Auto Extreme are really producing nicely. 4 of the other plants look about the same as the photo's I've grown ( 2- Gorilla Glue, Critical Orange Punch & Wipe Out Express. The 8th plant Seed Stockers : Big Bud ... I'm starting to think is a photo & not an Auto as it just wont bud up. Just keeps Vegging & getting bigger. I have 6 plants I just started in my small tent or I'd put it in there & put it on 12/12. Guess I'll just let it veg for now as I still have a few weeks to go. It's my 1st successful Auto grow. Last try I tried Autobeasts "How to grow a perfect auto start to finish" & everything died. So I went with the same method I grow photo's other than mixing my soil 50/50 Bio-Bizz & Ocean Forrest. The soil mix is the only thing I did different & it's working great. I started the seeds on 1-21 so I figure I have 3 - 4 weeks to go still so I'm really excited & looking forward to see what the final outcome of auto's are. I may never go back to photo's (after I use up the photo seeds I have) after this if it does what it appears it's going to do. So far I'm all smiles.
