I made a batch of Colloidal Silver yesterday and started treating my Super Critical Auto this morning, she's going to become a man over the next few weeks and then i'll let the pollen rip and cover the Sweet Cheese, i'll store some for future use for other crosses. I read the tutorial on CS and it was an easy process, all going well so far.

Hi Jess, great effort on the PC setup and your current grow.

Cheers, thanks Dingo.

It's been great fun and I've enjoyed every minute.

I have good knowledge of growing ornamental plants in containers so I was confident it would go well but I've never grown under lights or indoors, other than in glasshouses and poly tunnels so there was potential for it to go pear shaped.

I think the biggest challenge has been smell, no flowers yet but that Super Critical foliage stinks like a skunk.

I had a few fungal gnats in the potting mix so I put those small rocks on top to deter them and its worked great.

I've got my hands on a few good seeds so when I have changed that Super Critical to a man I will begin to pollinate left right and centre.

I'll continue to post updates.

Beware the fungus knats lol ..You might want to add some mosquito bits or dunks to make 100% sure they dont put larva in you soil and start eating roots...But as for everyone here asking about lights..Its a hard choice but I would go with a proven winner and not a ebay could be trash light especially if you dont have money to buy another if its crap. With LED and ebay ect I find it to be buyer beware ..so many hooror stories..why do you think its so much work finding a good light lol So most of the work has bin done for you here on AFN with all the sucessfull PC led grows ..pick a grow you like best and mimic its setup and you are sure to be happy..even if you need to save a little more...It pays to pay for quality when it comes to LEDs and a good warranty and customer support is key too..so if you have that you will do great ..GOOD LUCK PEEPS!:karma Cloud:

With the light I am using a 50w 6 band LED UFO from eBay, so far its been great. Time will only tell if it's the right choice but my plants are very healthy.

My nodes spaces are tight and the plants are not stretching so I think this level of light is ok for a PC box.

My Super Critical is a month old today and my Sweet Cheese about four days younger and so far so good.

Been treating my Super Critical Auto (entire plant) with Colloidal Silver for the past six days every morning and it has noticeable slowing of growth and some minor blotching on the leaves, however, it still looks reasonably healthy so i figure its going well? I'll put up a picture in the next few days.

With my very limited experience comparing the two strains i have grown, thats Super Critcal and Sweet Cheese i have observed that the Super Critical seemed to be a very vigorous plant. The Sweet Cheese looks good and i'm think it will turn out great but that Super Critical was powering along before i attacked it with Colloidal Silver, so i'm excited about collecting some pollen from it and doing some crosses and hoping that vigour is passed over in the genes of the new hybrids i create.

I've now got a humidity and temperature sensor inside and outside my box. Temperatures are running a little high, around 28-30 degrees C but i have closed the intake about 50% at the moment so i can always open it up and draw in some cooler fresh air when i need it.

Very enjoyable, that has got to be said.
