Grow Room Is a 75W LED UFO light too big for a PC grow?

The first picture is my Sweet Cheese, it's doing fine but is less vigorous than the Super Critical auto.

Next image is Super Critical after 7 days colloidal silver treatment.

Last picture is a close up of Super Critical auto following CS treatment, I don't think there are any banana's yet,.

I have added an extra 80mm fan to the inside roof of my case that is suspended with zip tie and blows the air down towards the extraction fan, has helped loads with temperatures. I am now running in case temperatures about 2 degrees celsius above external temperatures and my home made carbon filter also working well.

I'm very happy with things.

Here is the weekly update

First my Sweet Cheese which has now started flowering and has buds popping out all over the place. Zoom in on a few of these pictures and have a look.

Next pictures are of my Super Critical auto. I treated it with CS for 11 days, once a day, I then treated it again once on the thirteenth day and I have now stopped because I am sure I can see male flowers developing. Also, the CS knocks the plant around and I want it as healthy as I can get it to maximise pollin production. You might be all to see the flowers in the last photo.

With the CS i closely followed the tutorial but i did not use an air stone. I used a 6V 800ma power adaptor and let it run for about 20hrs. I did not filter the water when it was completed and simply poured it into a small spray bottle and shook it every moring before i used it. It was a dark murky colour but it seems to do the job and was an easy process.

Hey, just a follow up on this to let you know my Super Critical that i treated with CS is looking brilliant and it has male flowers all over it. I'll post some pictures on the weekend but its a success so far. Since i stopped the CS treatment the vigour has returned to the plant and its powering along. I'm going to have hundreds of male flowers to collect pollen from. Not sure if this pollen run will mature in time to pollinate my feminised Sweet Cheese but it will be ready for the next run in the PC grow box thats for sure. I'm stoked.

My Sweet Cheese flowers are growing by the day and its getting nice and stinky, i am going to move out the CS male before it begins to shed pollen so the Sweet Cheese will then have twice the room and twice the light to shake her tail feather.

Happy days. This is with a 50W 6 band LED from ebay which to date i highly recommend, lets see how much bud i can pull off this little demon.

One last thing to add, i have put a few centimetres of coco peat on the top of my pots to help retain moisture. I had them planted into potting mix and as they have grown the potting mix tends to dry out rather quickly which i think is a good thing but i dont want them drying out completely.

So far there is nothing i would change for my next grow other than to investigate options for a better carbon filter.

Here are a few pictures of my Super Critical that I treated with CS and converted from a female to male. He was moved outside to the garden yesterday to make more room in the case for my Sweet Cheese and so the pollen does not release inside there. I don't think there will be sufficient time to pollinate my female by the time the pollen begins to drop but I'll collect it a store in the freezer for my next few grows.

I'll.put up photos of my Sweet Cheese tomorrow.

I like shemale plants

Very nice, I like your shemale:thumbs:

:tiphat:

Here are some pictures of my Sweet Cheese..............this little gem is kicking butt!

I have done some LST to her now I have extra room in the case, just need those buds to fill out and bulk up.

Any idea what yield wet weight I might get under this 50 Watt UFO?

Looking nice, although a little bit tight mate :D:
I don't know anything about micro yields.
Good luck to you :Cushty:

Thanks Mario.

Yep it's tight. I just got my hands on a bigger case today, it's 670mm tall, pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait to convert it and apply my learnings from this first case.

That said, I have throughly enjoyed every step of the journey, PC grows are perfect for me. I am growing for personal use only but I just love growing plants.

I need stealth to keep my smoking and growing secret from from friends and family, I'm that straight guy at your work that nobody suspects.........

Can you tell me what kind of case you've got your hands on?
I'm thinking about placing one under my desk all the year round, as I don't have a regular Desktop-PC, just Laptops, so it would be nice and stealthy.
Do you do anything for odor control? Those activated charcoal fiberthingys they use for kitchen compost buckets could be worth a try..hmmm

:tiphat:

I got a second hand Antec Chieften for $40, its a full tower case, look at full tower cases. Another thing, you want as much height as possible and be mindful of the width and check its wide enough for your light, the Antec is only 200mm wide and most UFO led lights are wider than this.

Heat is an issue and I am going to get a 100 mm air duct fan this time. PC fan's are ok to circulate air but not powerful enough for exhaust and sucking through a carbon filter.

Smell is a problem, my home made carbon filter and weak 80mm pc fan is inadequate. I have moved it to the bathroom upstairs which I can isolate but the smell in that room is strong, it does not get out to the rest of the house. My wife is cool, she helps cover my tracks but she does not smoke.

On phone, hard to type sorry.
