Just curious, should I still use cal/mag while feeding with the advanced nutrients line? And also, what is the best advanced nutrients combo to use? I'm currently using the canna line, thinking about switching over to AN and I don't want to buy every single additive they have. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

hi, im a newbie but there is a similar question in my first grow journal,
im using their ph perfect 3 part grow micro bloom as my base nutrients and here is an opinion

I don't use cal mag til the bloom phase gets going. Reason is I have never ha any type of cal mag def during my veg phase. And the 3 part grow micro bloom is used the whole time because basically they are base nutrients needed in all phases of life. If you look at the NPK rating added up its not near as high as some bloom nutes. That I'd why big bud and overdrive are added for bloom if you then add the NPK up on overdrive it's a good but higher to support bloom.

Hey
Ive been looking for a new line for my outdoor plants and for a winter microgrow and did quite a bit of research on different fert lines before ultimately deciding to go with AN even though its oh so pricey...why? Just too many phenomenal grows on this site using that line. Seriously the amount of BoM winners that use AN seems quite high vs other lines of nutes. Its is expensive though for sure, but long run not that expensive I don't think...stuff like overdrive, nirvana, bud candy you only use small amounts(2ml per litre) during a small part of a schedule so they go a long ways. I am running just this combo this winter, so we'll see how it does.

for 200US I got:
Sensi Bloom A+B $36 cad
Sensi Grow A+B $36
Bud Candy $32
Carboload $26
Big Bud $31
Nirvana $26
Calmag Xtra $26
250ml overdrive free
250ml b-52 free

I was supposed to get X2 more samples but the seller screwed up and only sent two. I contacted him about it, and he got back to me. I had a couple of more items I wanted to grab so he is sending me X2 samples in addition to X2 samples I bought that were not shipped. :) Excellent!!

As for your question, part of the AN line is cal/mag xtra....so yes you can and should use it especially if you are LED growing.

Thanks guys for all the responses. I was looking at the AN micro, grow, bloom. What's the difference between those and the sensi and connosuier? I want to give AN a try, I just don't know where to start with them (so many choices). What's the best additives to go with? I don't want to waste any unnecessary money.

Once you start its hard to stop buying the additives so be careful.

Sometimes when I'm board I get out my whole lineup set it up just right and stare at them with a smile on my face. Many people say its a waste of money but I don't care. They say you can get the same results a lot cheaper still don't care.

When I was looking at AN lineup I got a lot of info off of here, But I also emailed them my questions and they always answered with in a couple of hours. Their nutrient calculator Here can tell you what additives to add depending on what level of grower you are.

It is a cost for sure...you know what though? Well worth the investment in my eyes!

I was looking at the AN trio and the Sensibloom/grow and one thing I noticed is it would seem the sensi/conn lines would stretch a little further than the trio even though they cost a little more. In another thread I was advised to go with the two part by a few guys(guys with exceptional indoor grows) so that what I ended up grabbing. :)
