Indoor Is this sufficient enough to grow 2 plants from seed to harvest?

So ihave 2 42watt cfl 2700k 150 watt equivalent each and each giving off 2800 lumens but would that be enough to get me from seed to harvest?? Any sugestions that would help thanks

not a grand harvest by any means, but yes. i'd recommend finding bluer bulbs for veg.

Keep in mind, full sun is about 10000-25000 lumens per sq ft. ( but plants don't need full sun brightness to grow)

That said, plants don't 'see' in lumens, that's a scale used for human eye response. A bright green light would have a lot of lumens, but wouldn't grow a plant (plants are mostly blind to green light)

Deeper red, and deeper blue bulbs are more efficient for growing. Very yellow, or very green sources are usually lousy for growing.

Pretty much going to need more bulbs if you want more than a couple grams.

When growing with cfls its recommended to have atleast 100w's or more per plant and you are going to need them as close as possible as they start loosing the lumens big time after about 3 inches away.

Also regarding the wattage of cfl's you use the actual watts and not the equivalent rating

With cfls always ignore the equivalent wattage, it doesn't mean squat. What you'd be working with is 84 watts of cfl, definitely on the lower end of acceptable. It will work, but you're going to have to keep them close to the plant, as in one plant. If you can make sure to build a good reflector for them it will help a lot. if you play your cards right you'll get more than just a coupl of grams, I've seen someone pull half an O off of a single 42w 2700, but they trained the plant in a semi circle around the bulb. Don't worry about using a different spectrum for vege, the 2700 will work just fine for your needs.

The actual watts are 42x2= 84, ialso have 2 23w 6500k

in a 1.35ftx1.35ft grow box for optimal lumens
maybe up to a 1.4ft x 1.4ft

You'll be fine. I grew a plant in a 3.5 inch nursery cube under a single 42w 2700k when I first started out to see what would happen. Got a good five grams dry off of it, and piggy hurt plants more than helped them that early on. You can do it! sending grow karma your way

Bro isould get bout 10 to 15 g'z maybe I'm also thinking bout putting them outside during the day then inside when it gets dark I'll be running 18/6 or what light schedule is best for autos??
