Grow Room JD's Coco Micro SoG.

Kvs's are getting nice fat colas! Love the choice of color on the homemade fabric pots.
Ug, can't stand fungus gnats. Finding a good potting soil or coco with out them can be tuff. They seem to be more prevalent in the winter for some reason.

These pots are actually Vigoroot pots. I was very surprised to find 1l commercial fabric pots so I decided to give 'em a go, so far, so good.
I hate gnats too, with a passion, but I am happy to report that their population took some heavy losses these last days. I got them from a bag of organic potting soil that I used as a base for my wormfarm and been struggling with these pests ever since.
The KVS's are getting heavy, they fall over at the slightest touch. They smell great but are still quite discreet too bad they take so long to mature. At this point they are not any faster than a photo 12/12 from seed.

Cheers, mate.

Hey guys. I am starting to think that the littlest SR has been stunted by gnat larvae, it is growing and looks pretty healthy but it is quite a lot slower that its siblings. Other than that, everything is going just fine. I haven't fed the SR yet (but I will start soon), just seaweed and humates plus the foliar that they seem to love. The KVS's are getting fatter, smellier and heavier. I will check the trichs tomorrow but I'd say that they'll be ready within 2 weeks.

Wow, amazing PC grow going on here as well :smoking:
Nice build you got there, JD. Hope you handle insect issue totally.

Hey, mate, welcome here and thanks for the compliment. My box is in fact not a pc case, it is actually made of wood but it is in the same range of volume as a pc box. I am happy to report that the gnats are going down hard, I can only see a couple of them flying around in the box compared to the dozens that were in there before.

Cue update.

Hey guys. After checking for preflowers on the SR's, I find out that they are all females, again. I am happy and frustrated at the same time as I really hopped for a male this time around. That's 8 regular seeds, in a row, that turn out to be female. Hopefully next time around I'll have at least a male.
Today was the first time I fed the SR's, 0.9ec 6ish pH. They are picking up momentum and I'll have to keep vertical grow under control in a near future.
The KVS's are getting closer to harvest 7 to 10 days by my estimate. They have about 30% cloudy and some amber trichs.

Hey guys. The SR's are stretching and KVS's are maturing. The KVS's will be harvested tomorrow or the next day, almost 4 months after having been planted. I'm glad I kept them as they ended up being wonderful plants, just very slow. I have no doubt that these, grown in proper, non restraining conditions, can give several oz per plants.

today, I'd say they are stretching.

Last day of the KVS's, they have been watered with plain water and a few drops of ataclean for the last 5 days to clean all minerals from the coco.

Hey guys. The KVS's are down and I am very satisfied with the results. It took me a good 90 minutes to pluck the leaves as there were a great many but it is well worth it. I am now pretty sure I will revisit this strain at a latter time.

Buds before the cut.

The SR's keep stretching. The one on the left got punished as she grew, overnight, into the led above her (that's about 2"!) and she got burned so I had to supercrop her. I expect some more stretching with these, hopefully it will remain manageable.

Hey guys. Noting much to talk about. The SR's are growing nicely, still stretching but it seems to be slowing down. I'm curious to see how they will do in the 1l fabric pots, I don't expect to get as much medicine as the first time around in the grow bags but I might be surprised.
The KVS's are now curing. The dry weight on the 2 is about 16g, pretty good as I pulled about 35g off the 8 plants which is very nice. That's over 0.6g/W(nominal). Pretty happy with the results, especially for a first auto micro grow.

Hey guys. Stretch is done and the box is pretty much full. I accidentally topped one of them (the weakest one) while bending it to stop it from growing into the lights, not happy with it. Otherwise, it all goes smoothly but I am pretty sure that I will go back to my 0.5l grow bags for the next one as I feel that I am wasting too much space with just the three 1l felt pots. The plants are too "branchy" and there was nothing to do about it, I pinched the branches to no avail. Bigger pots => branchier plants. I prefer "lollipop" like plants so I'll probably downsize back after this one.

Man, those KVS's are gorgeous buds! I think those bushy plants are going to be good yielders in the end. Even though a pain to wrestle with. There's definitely a right balance between square footage and pot size. In our micro world.
