Thanks Jack yeh the topbox is ventilated. Did you mean I should try varying the speed of the exhaust fan? it came with the carbon filter and is set at one speed... I've mislaid the blurb but it was something like 100 sq m per hour. Which is a lot I think.
My temps are hanging around 82-83 so I've decided to go ahead as others here are coping/have coped with that sort of heat. One Afghan Kush Ryder and one Candy Cush waitin to pop as I type.

Hi Jimmy, yes you can buy a variable speed motor control. They are relatively inexpensive, mine was $26 landed. It's essentially a rheostat that allows you to change the speed of your fan and subsequently the amount of air that exchanges. In my limited experience it's helped me to control both The temp and relative humidity in my tent. Depending on the type it can also save energy. If you don't already have one get a PH meter and some calibrating solution. Have fun and good luck!
