Hi Jimmy.
The run off sounds low-low-low for lightmix soil.
What PH did you water it at?
Is your ph pen properly calibrated?
(I'd check this first)
It's not the PH of the run off that is the critical part - it's the PH of the medium (soil in your case)
To work out the Soil PH you can use this awesoe formular by GoAuto6
Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference
If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.
For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5
If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5
So you need to know both what you're putting in, and what's coming out and apply one of the above formulas to roughly work out Soil PH.
You only want to collect the first little bit of run off (that will give you the best indication) - Not like a bottle full
Ideally you'll wat to keep your soil around 6.2 at this early stage and closer to flowering somewhere around 6.4/6.5
If you've re-done the tests and worked out that the soil PH is wicked low, ask for some help in the Live Help Thread (for the quickest response) and someone will help you correct it!
