Bovine dismantler , Bar manager - and pro fisherman ,stared work when I was 14 and still slogging away and now have my own business with 5 staff , don't make much money but have a great life style .

Well said. I used to make great money, company car etc etc. But I was much happier doing the welding or driving.
If you have a great life style and enough money to see the week through, you are blessed. There is no happiness in having thousands in the bank if you hate your job.
I chucked my last job after two an a half years as I hated going to work. I thought feck it. I am not going to do his any more. It was starting to make feel ill at the thought of going to work. I am poorer but so much happier. I am a carer for my dad now as his dementia is getting worse. I still do a bit of this n that to make ends meet. But I implore anyone who hates their job. Leave tomorrow. You can do better.

That's some good advice right there EP! I made pretty good money at my last job (selling logging equipment parts) and actually loved the job itself but the last 3 years I was there I couldn't stand to go to work because of my supervisor with a napoleon complex I would hate to get up in the morning, when one of the storagebuildings became unsafe and I started to complain about it I got shit canned (hell am 18 year old kid nearly died in there) I'm actually happy I was fired my hair started growing back. Anyway I did make a call to OSHA who told me I should have called before I was fired but I guess that was all that was needed because they did finaly spend lot of money fixing it up and making it safe. Sorry I got a little off track there.

Point being never slave away at a job if I makes you dislike getting out of bed in the morning.

I hear ya Pop, you outa try a roof repair hot job on an open hearth furnace 10 minutes after it tapped. Looking down into a glowing hole, knowing that 30 minutes ago 400 tons of steel was BOILING under there! Damn, now that was some crazy ass stuff!! One of those things that glorious in the retelling but you would have rather not have had to do it!

LOL! I've done t blacktopping, and worked after school in a brass foundry, working pour off.....so I have some idea of what your talking about. Thank God those days are gone! :Sharing One:
