Well it took 4 days to evaporate. But theres a couple of grams there. :)

OK, The day we all wait for, Harvest Time!!!

Ive been pondering when to do this, Some may say its a bit early but having lost some to the mold I wasnt going to leave things to chance. We have some humid and damp weather forcast this week, so I thought I would cut her tonight rather than run the risk of mold for the sake of a few extra gramms of bud.

She has been flushing for 10 days, and today is 3 months to the day since the seed germinated. All Thrichs are cloudy but I cant see any Amber, but this seems not to be an issue from what you Auto Experts say.

Ive already cut out about a third of her from the "moldectomy" and the other branches I plucked early. So Ive got about 10g of dry bud curing already. ( not to mention the oil experiment)

The top kola came off from mold, so she sat at 1m heigh from base of pot.

Ill report back with dry weights, but for now, thanks all for your help and guidance. :peace:

OK, 2 days of hanging in the loft, and 2 days in a cardboard box with paper, and the Rh of the cardboard box was 60% Humidity.

I trimmed again last night and put it in a mason jar. Total dried weight was less than expected at 24G so not even an Oz. But, I do have 5G of Oil.

Im not over the moon, but considering this is my first grow, I had mould issues, and was grown outside in the UK from April. Im fairly pleased.

Yeah I could have let it fill out a bit more, but I didnt want to run the risk of Mold.

Overview.

Seed from Pickandmix Seeds,

Joint Dr Chronic.

Soil, John Innes No3 Seed Cutting compost.

Nutes, BioBizz.

Dried weight 24G + 5 G oil from trim.

Time to Harvest 89 days.

Smoke report, Well Ill let you know once cured. But initial tests are gooood. Basically this was a reasonable outcome from my first grow, and Ive learned loads.

So, On to the next, Ive got a Lowryder plant out in the greenhouse which is beginning to flower, and Ill start a new thread on that.

Cherers all.

Nice one Zippy, oil and bud to smoke on your first try out, so its not all bad. Shame about the crap weather but that's the UK for us.

That loft space looks ideal for a small grow tent too

Agree with the last too comments. Shame about the mould but the bride side is that nothing beats the satisfaction you will get from smoke grown by your self. :tiphat:

Think about organic 's recommendation. Small grow tent up there doesn't sounds bad

Cheers guys, not sure about the growtent, mrs is ok with having it in the garden but a tent, and 24/7 lights on seems extreme.

Dont you need fans and temp control aswell? Sounds expensive.

The bit ive really enjoyed about this process was that it was mostly natural. Using the suns rays and that.

Including seeds, lamp, greenhouse and nutes, this little lot has cost me less than I would spend on half an oz of grubby dealer weed.

The set up cost is the most, but then once you have bought every big item you will only need a few items per grow. It can be as expensive as you want or allow it to be. I've clocked £250 this time but still need a tent and fan due to my wardrobe being to small and no ventilation, plus its limited to 1 plant and I want 4 on the go at once to make proper use of the light.

But when looking at the list of items I've bought and need for the next grow it will cost me about £20-£40 a BIG drop in amount paid out but I don't factor electric in as the cfls don't use much and I have not noticed it on the meter.

4 plants in a small tent say 1 oz min each, would pay for the whole set up in one hit and some, had you bought it on the street. That is the way I view it anyway.

Its really no different to leaving the hall light on all night. but you could go 18/6 then 12/12 with a none auto strain to cut electric down.

I view this as a hobby and not for profit, I spend way more on my other hobby's then I do growing. If I could go carp fishing each year for £300 I would be well happy :) And the smoke is always nice when on the bank a great combo.
