Old Reviews Jungle Juice VS. Pure Blend Pro Soil (Bloom)

Every grow I try to do a comparison of some sort, DWC vs coco, Nute A vs. Nute B ...etc. I find it makes diagnosing problems easier.

This Grow will compare Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice Bloom (2 part) with Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Soil Bloom.

Breeder: Paradise Seeds
Strain: Auto Jack
Vegged (meaning grow nutes and MH bulb) July 10- August 19 (41 days) with AN Sensi Grow.
Day 41- beginning of Bloom Nutes, Both plants are the same height 43cm, the PBP plant is a little bushier than the Jungle Juice plant but for comparison purposes they are close enough.

I'm planning on following the manufacturers directions regardless of plant condition and only plan on adding supplements when i consider the plant in danger of serious problems (SM-90 will be used on both and will be the only supplement used for now).

Grow Setup:
4'x4'x6.5' tent
400w HPS (vegged with 400w MH)
8" inline exhaust fan with 8" carbon filter. (too big)
Air Pots 3 gallon
Botanicare CoCo Block.

Is there any info needed that i should add?

Week 1 Bloom
Following week 2 directions for both nutrients.

Jungle Juice = 600ppm @ Ph 6
PBP = 1000ppm @ ph 6
every feeding the ph will cycle between 5.5 and 6.5 and be the same for both plants.

Both are 73cm tall at day 49 The plant on the left is the jungle Juice plant and Pure blend Pro is on the right.

Day 52:
Both plants (PBP on the right)

Both Plants doing ok, The PBP plant is bushier and light green. The Jungle Juice plant is dark green and is not as bushy and tall as the PBP.


Jungle Juice Plant 83cm tall
Slight wilting of lower leaves

PBP Plant 87cm tall and Developing normally. Slight signs of nute burn.

Day 61

jungle Juice 1100ppm, 85cm tall, dark green leaves, slightly wilted.

Puro Blend Pro Soil 1200ppm, 98cm tall, bushy and healthy with slight nute burn on leaf tips.




Growth profile for PBP plant.


Anyone have any idea what causes the wilting in second photo? (Jungle Juice plant)

Day 68 quick observations

Jungle juice plant ph 6 ppm 1100
stretch stopped and is filling in with fairly dense buds but overall a smaller plant.

pure Blend pro ph 6 ppm 1200
Stretch stopped and is filling in with not so dense buds.

Day 70 (Breeders end day)

Jungle Juice main cola



Pure Blend Pro main cola



Starting flush today and one middle branch fell off so I'm going to dry and smoke the buds...yes...it just "fell" off Imagine that !

Totally unrelated but I dried the branch that "fell" off, down to about 30%
and just smoked it and it was a little harsh obviously but the effect is kinda SQUIRREL SQUIRREL !!

Day 78 (Jungle Juice Harvest)


139g wet --> should yield 27g dry
Popcorn and crumbs might yield 2g of byproducts
Test bud 7.3g (used to determine moisture loss while drying)

Pure Blend Pro will be harvested some other time because of the scissor hash from this plant....Squirrel squirrel !!! :drool:
