Keeping it simple

Need4weed I'm glad I was able to ask the right questions to help you our bro

Alright I got some Epsom salts and a drop of dawn dish soap (I knew have 5 gallons of that stuff my old company would come in handy one day haha) anyways drop of dawn in a 1l bottle and 1 tea spoon of salts sprayed the girls down good and leaving them in the dark for an 2 to 4 hours

Once they are ready for a drink k of water was advised to give pure water with a tea spoon of molasses. And that should help the girls I got going now they won't get bug obviously but should improve the health of them

What do you guys think

Any organic info is well worth the read! Once I get a few grows under my belt I want to do organic. As far as your grow, I tried finding some CalMag on line at Walmart, but the closet thing I could find was big pieces of Calcium Carbonate which is sold for de-icing.

Hmm seems as though I have totally fawked up again in buying the wrong stuff I got this hi yield horticultural hydrated lime as that's all they had but getting home and doing some looking it seems that everyone says stay the hell a way from hydrated lime :/

if you got cotton seed meal thats fine too.alfalfa is just a bit more mild.and since this isnt a true living mix thats really what your looking for BUT the cotton seed meal is what I have too and its good stuff.ive used it in my soils as well as teas.More the Bone meal for teas and soils than cotton meal but its good stuff. just use it more sparingly is all.

hydrated lime is actually not a terrible thing to have on hand if needed.although its a highly caustic material and should be handled accordingly.but it wasnt a terrible buy, its more for quick fixes of an way of soil and not used a lot but again its not a terrible buy to hold onto.prilled and powdered lime tend to be the best.Hydrated is for a more water soluable acting lime for that quicker fix of an unbalanced PH n the acidic conditions of a soil(or varying mediums):Sharing One:

Alright I'll keep it on hand then would it be something worth adding to my wounded plants that I have going now? Or should I just stick with the Epsom salt spray and molasses in the water?

Also it dawned on me today as I was emptying out the dehumidifier in my work shop (this water has no chlorine in it what would be your opinion on using that? Seems like it would be a good way to recycle water from the air vs paying for it out of the tap and filtering it.

if your cool with using it its prolly fine.I personally dont know of any issues using that water for whatever. the cotton seed meal will need a cpl weeks or more to fully release into the soil.you can get some feeding from it if added to a loose tea. but if used in a full tea brew it properly for a 36+ hour period with added mellow stuffs. i personally use more a bone meal addition to my teas than cotton meal. but its great for top coatings as well as teas and blending soils ofcourse.its not a mandatory item if you need to return it..?Its just a great addition to organic making soils n the like.so its a great product but I totally get being strapped for cash man. so no worries:Sharing One:

Well here is what I did thus far just so we are on the same page

1.5 bag of pot of gold
16qt perlite
3 ounces of fish meal
3 ounces of kelp meal
3 ounces of cotton seed meal
3 ouces of life 555
And 1/2 ounce of the 572

So I have fish emulsion, epsom salts, molasses, hydrated lime, dr earth 333 liquid fertilizer solution and roots organic trinity and buudah grow but I didn't out any of this in yet as I have no Idea what I'm doing lol

Also yiu mention not having a true living organic soil so the question comes to mind that if I'm adding water to the mix and I'm trying to stimulate microbe growth would adding some fish emulsion or anything else help? And if not what are some other simple things I can add to the mix to assist in the organics of this mix?

Thanks again for all the help I have had no less than 4 people tell me you are an organics boss so I'm just trying to learn and make sure I'm understanding everything you have to say my friend :)

Gosh dang I hate loving where it's cold as fawk lol turn my lights out in my grow tent for 3 hours and it's down to 55 in there :/

hmmm well as i said you remind me of me when first started down this road years back.the best thing for you to do man..Honestly?but i know your strapped for cash is you have a bag of soil yes?check! you need 35 LBs of castings 6 gallons of spagnum peat moss 5 -5.5 gallons of perlite.

this will give you a living mix with this pack.

you take this for 20 bucks(shipping is like 20 bucks too i think) and add this to 6 gallons of soil,6 gallons of either coco or a combo of coco and the spag peat moss and the 5 gallons or 5.5 gallons of castings and this will give you right about 28 gallons or so of a living thatll be hard to screw up. i didnt mention this cuz of your cash situation.

what makes your mix a little more difficult is having to explain each individual feeding and acidic breakdowns and balancing acts. its HARD HARD to do well in this format.if you want a living mix(and i promise you you do if you want organics) you really need to try n get one of these packs man.seriously. in 45 days from the initial week of steeping and mixing it'll be a hard to screw up mix short of using nasty water. you wont need any of your bottled stuff short of some molasses n epsom and simple stuff for tea like a fish 5-1-1 or similar n a pound of castings n some bone meal(cotton is good to have too) and thats essentiall all the products youll need for a perfect grow. ive turned many ppl onto this and i hate to push his stuff but its a good mix man.thats how i got my start. goto tlosoils.com n poke about. 5LB pack n thats all you need with soil, peat moss, castings n perlite. pretty simple eh? then its about reading at that point and noticing your growth and you can watch and learn as i did.truly understandinh it while you read TO understand the feeding aspects of a living soil over a simple soup pre blended mix.
