Lighting Kind K5 xl750 rebuild

With those big chips you only need 6 per light. Remember your going from 22.5% efficient to 55+% efficient. Cooling should be fine as long as your below the kinds original wattage. Your cobs are emitting a lot less heat too.

Yeah I gotta figure that out. I bought 8 - 1812 and 4 1818. Think the efficiency is the same?

The k5 750 which was supposed to be a 750watt hid replacement has a whopping 94.3 par watts. Don't have to do anymore math to know that things a pile of trash. To achieve the same light output as the stock panel you'll beat it with 2 cobs so take that into consideration when building it. Let me know if you need any cree's I'll drop some off to you. image.jpeg

Hey now that like of trash does me right. Might not be efficient but it works. I have to take the find the total heat watts to determine my heart sink size. I think I'm good but I'd like to run the numbers. That's why I was asking for the efficiency on the citizens.

If I don't like the middle one I just unscrew it

I just not think you'll need it. Those 2 cobs produce more photons then the hole panel did

The clu058 1825 @1200 ma 3500k are right at 51% efficient

The clu048 1812 @650 ma 400k are 47% efficient

The 3590 @ 1400 am is closer to 56% efficient

Don't take the comment personal. The epistar in that rig is 22% efficient

This is one of the four panels with the 3 cob setup. Only have one reflector on. Waiting on the next shipment. Ran it at 100% for 15min and the heatsink got up to 89deg. Wonder if this will be too much light lol @BigSm0

Franken-light!! Your one crazy sob jupiter

That kind panel is about the size of my Amare and it comes with 6 cobs for a full 4x4. If you go with 9 cobs you'll be cooking plants
