OBJECTIVE :
To come up with the best product while retaining as much of the original gear as possible. Minus the LED diodes.

MATERIALS :
KIND K5 xl750, (5) 50v @1180ma, (2)40v@1180ma original drivers.

THOUGHTS:
This is an open opinion forum that anyone can voice their views. Hopefully we can come up with a killer and efficient end product that is also affordable.

Just throwing some stuff out there.

@BigSm0 and definitely @pop22. Could use some insight and anyone you know who could help. Looking to learn hopefully. Show me what you got lol.

cluster fu€< lol jeez that really cram in the drivers on that thing. Different voltages and currents too? Surprised to see that in a 1200 dollar light. 4 meanwells and some xp-e2 and xp-g3's would fit that budget

For having balls to tear that thing up. Bet this is another one off hack
:slap::slap:

LOL just hopefully bouncing some ideas of some wicked smart people so I won't regret it.

I really like the placement and layout of the cobs. much better build eliminating all the epistar LEDs too.

Yeah hopefully I can find the perfect combo. Not saying this one is bad but it might be able to be improved. Looking for the most efficient without paying through the nose. Looked on northern grow lights and cob kits so far. Need more vendors.

I was actually on alibaba last week with massive request. Hundreds of cobs, pin heatsinks and drivers. Forgot the totals now but it was more than I can get them locally then they added 350 for shipping and a 4.5% PayPal fee. Just the 3590's I asked for a price on 200 or 300 of them and they came back with something stupid like 42 bucks each.

Cree 3590 from digikey are
64.60 each if you buy
50,000 they drop the price to 40.375 which is $2,018,750.00

Takes a lot of capital to make 24 bucks a cob

Seems like grow northern grow lights and cob kits might be the way to go.
