Lighting Kind K5 xl750 rebuild

Arty tagged me in it but it's locked. What did you buy jup?
Just bought some clu048 1812 90cri. Going to give it a test and if they don't fire pit them in the other builds. Only bought 4 for now.

Your using them in the 50v drivers aren't you?

Just got these in the mail @BigSm0. Plan on putting them on all the COB's that go in just in case I want to move their position or upgrade in the future. Rated for 600v /6A/105c.

They look kinda big. Are they the push in type? I really like the idea of easy removal just don't like push in connectors with strand wire. You sir should read the safety thread :smoking:

It's able to go down to 22awg so I think I'm covered. I asked a master electrician on my job site what he recommends. That's what he suggested. They were ul listed so I was satisfied.

I got your back though. These could be used for the existing connection. The new connection will be made with the wago quick connects and the 18awg wire you suggested. I might just solder then together... It would be easier for me :)

For the strand wire you can tin the ends. I tried everything when putting strand into push-in connectors. Twisting the wire while pushing it in seemed to work best but if they come out and touch metal when your away it could get messy

You know what... With the driver they come pre-tinned making the end hard. Wonder if I solder the ends making them hard if that would work? Hmmm

Yeah that's what I said. Solder them up and shove em in
