They mount to the heatsink which mounts to that faceplate. Unfortunately the cob is bigger than the existing holes so some modifications might be necessary.Is there a plate or something that the old LEDs mounted to? If they just mounted to the back of the front cover you won't need to cut anything since the cobs will need to be mounted to it tii
Yeah it should definitely be smaller as the diodes are pretty much up against the faceplate. Either way I'll probably snip out four of the LED holes. Think that might be the cleanest look. Other thing is where the seam where the heatsinks come together is where I want to put a set of cobs so I'll have to play around with locations.I was thinking your hole in the faceplate could be smaller. Depending on how close it is since the reflector is tapered. If it's only an inch away your hole should be half the size.
