Sneak peak Jupiter. You know what this is!!! 20 more on the way
I was looking at heatsinks and those bitches can get a little expensive. The regular flat ones that come with most lights. They were like $2 an inch. You know any cheaper alternatives? I like the light BTWhttp://www.digikey.com/product-deta...uctor-inc/SI-B8R221B20WW/1510-1416-ND/5992249
Check these things out. Samsung hard strips. I believe this is what next light uses. Someone did the math on building a clone and it came to 20% of what next charges. I picked up a few to play with. You should check them out for veg lighting.
Yeah I opened up my old ufo. Has no heatsink. Just the plate with the diodes on it and a fan.Not really. Metal prices are insane when it comes to this sort of stuff. What is it for another light? If so I'd go with the passive pin style

Probably but I've noticed my crops have been a little neglected with my new found hobby. I have a handful of extra cobs so they have to go somewhere lol.Looks great Jupiter. Absolutely insane work bro. Nice and tidy and out of this world different. As you can probably already see the plants will absolutely love the lights. Your temps will drop and your yields will increase. So to most it may look s little funky but you stepped out of the epistsr blurple world and into the real lighting world. Any plans on doing more?
