I even got me some scales now! They are kitchen scales so the last digit will only ever say 5 or 0 but it'll do for now.....I think size will be more of an issue than accuracy here

That should hopefully give me some idea about how much weight will be lost in the drying process too.

Trimming it I could smell the diesel in it.....smelled more like turpentine than the jet fuel smell of the RRF but either way I like the RRF (still smoking it!) and am now looking forward to smoking the APG even more after getting a proper whiff of it. Hurry up and dry now lol.

Cheers bud. Hopefully I'll have some new seeds started soon and will journal it on here as autos seem to love it in NFT and I couldn't find much on here grown that way. Will post some pics of my "pots" in a bit but I've still got a lot to learn about using them and should be able to grow even bigger plants if I knew what I was doing. I'm told that in terms of growth rates and yield NFT is the next best thing to aeroponics but I doubt I'm making the most of it after just a few grows.

Already got a Dark Devil auto in a cube and am trying to get it to germinate in the "final pot". I think it might be a little cold for it though so I may have to figure out a way to mount my 125W CFL next to it for warmth if this one doesn't pop.

And the APA is starting to look like it might finish soon too so I'm going to get more rockwool soaking for the Afghan Kush Ryder and Candy Kush auto.

Here's a few pics of my NFT systems:

This is the Nutrient Film Transfer bit where the roots fill the top tray. A pump with an adjustable flow rate pumps nutrient solution over a tray covered in spreader mat so the nutrient solution can get to every corner of the tray:

My tanks are pretty small with only a 20L res so the roots tend to grow off the tray and into the res. Normally the roots are submersed in nutrient solution but this was taken while flushing:

This is me filling the res back up and where I check pH and EC:

In the meantime if anyone sees something that might give me an idea what Afghan Kush Ryder will do in hydro I'd love to see it. Same with the Candy Kush Auto....I'm thinking they'll be a bit smaller than the APG and I might do 2 of each.

I'm going to try Kush but I have a hard enough time trying to keep up across the street. Tomorrow is day ten so I'll be posting update photos. She has already popped roots out of the basket. :smoking:

I have grown CK AKR and DD, you won't be disappointed by any of them. Although the DD does get a bit tall and spindly !
