Lighting LED advice, help appreciated :)

Hey guys,

we were chatting on the farm here the other day, and we have a space in an outbuilding that we'd like to utilise in the new year for a small expansion.

However we're approaching the limits of what we can pull power wise here, so figured led could be an option.

We considered them when in the UK but just wondering whether price has come down enough to dip our toes in the water,

Ideally, we would want the 'equivalent' units to a 600w hps. The space we have in mind could house up to 9 conventional 600w hps lamps.

It may not be feesable, but really we've been that busy we've not had time to think about it, let alone research it.

So any thoughts, recommendations, companies worth talking to, Let us know.

Would be nice to do an LED growshow.

Mitch,

Talk with Ronin about his Mars II full spectrums....He ultimately was really pleased with the bud density they provided
and they're dirt cheap in comparison to high dollar units...especially considering the actual wattage of the 900W units
is 400-450W and they are aprox. $350 USD.

I don't think they are the BEST option but in a utilitarian assessment, they are a way to get a lot of wattage and good
light without making such a gigantic investment.

I bet you could score a few of the new GN lights free as sponsership/free advertising due to your breeding and growing being documented online.
would be great to see you grow using them i think they would make your genetics really shine

Gn,Topled and Purple Alien are the Names poppin up in my head for propper Panels. Experience wise i can say Your Genetics really love the Led light. Its all bout what Budged you Guys Plan. I replaced my 400w Hps with a 180w Topled Ufo and it worked out Denser Buds like the 400w Hps and only quater of the power Consumption. I read an Article where it was Mentioned that 100w true Led watts(consumption) could Replace up to 400w Hps. So i would replace 1 600w with a Mars 2 700 or 900 but the 900 should run like a 1000 watter Hps.

GN all the way bro they have some super efficient lights out in a few weeks 75w each and you would only need 2 to replace your 600w HID. I've not used them yet but I have used the LED chips they're using in them, here's a couple of Autos I've grown under a shared 240w in a 1.2m2 room (when I say shared I mean I could veg up other plants while these were blooming).

obviously we'd be more than happy to document everything, the room build, and grow and can showcase a decent sized led/auto room in progress.
we can also give a fair comparison to one of our existing hps rooms as no doubt we will be running other Mephisto genetics gear alongside in those.
we also have commercial and grow shop contacts here that would be very interested to see led lighting trialled on this scale and in this way, as here in Spain the availability and popularity is far less, just going from my observations...

Same like over here in Germany u see them barely comin up over here. Same with Bho Gear. I guess in both Uk is headin up for the Europe side of the Globe. It would be nice to see the new Gn Units finaly as i plan to build up my new Spaces too. So far budged wise i would go with the Mars but who knows if some Money comes in before X mas im gonna get me a nice Present for that.....cause 2 x 75w = 600w hps sounds awesome(and manifests the stuff ive read with 100w led= 400w hps).
