@gadget guy, yes very true only a few certain manufactures and they are "re-branded" but lights such as the grow northerns have there own custom drivers. It's very appreArant by looking at grows by master tang and others under there grow northerns speak for themselves... From all the LEDs I have the only one I've had troubles with has been the bysen direct, though timely in the process bysen stood behind their warranty. Had a fan, a led module, and one drive swapped out. They must use 6years olds to make them as the spaces and room to work in are tight.

hold on, is that mean that basically Apollo 6 from Cidly is same as MS0006? just different driver?
That mean I can just buy Apollo6 directly from them and change driver myself and viola I will be happy owner of 'MS0006' ?

All I can say is you get what you pay for. And the new black dog phytomax line up is the way to go true watts listed. A lot of other led manufacturers no names but they list a 300 watt light but only runs at 120 and about 30 watts of that 120 is cooling fans and power converters. A lot of manufactures are doing the same with true watts listed as well they say the light 400 watts but that's with the leds and cooling fans and other components running as well so yeah they use 400 watts but the leds aren't running a 400 the unit a a whole uses 400 but minuse the fans and other components you are left with about 360 or less watts the leds are using. And high end led lights have better led and uvb and uva leds bulbs are extremely expensive per diode so there is some of the high price and other components as well like better power converters and other things. Just an example the phytomax 400 runs at 428 at the wall the lights are at 400 and other components add to the 400 watts making it 428 at the wall. If you buy cheap you get cheap. I have 7 different leds from 7 different manufacturers and black dog is a clear winner in my book

Black Dog came out on the low end of a test of so called "quality" lights. It barely beat out the cheap Igrow!

This test was done scientifically, no anecdotal wishful thinking.

When your looking at high end LED grow lights, look for this information, its more important than any of the other "data" they give you. If its not there, find another supplier!

I didn't pay full price for the phytomax 400 I paid 450 pluse shipping. And I'm sure you could build a light for that amount of money as could I.

True watts consumed is also rather meaningless. You can have a "true" 400 watt light that produces say, 400PPFD and another, more efficient light that produce 480PPFD. Watts tell you nothing about how much light is produced, only what it costs you to run the light....
