If someone you live with makes a police report saying that you grow weed is that enough for a search warrant?

Just wondering if one person saying that is enough for them to raid you? or do they need pics and other proof?

i think it depends on if you are well known to the police for Weed or something like that :dunno:

If they live there the police wouldnt need a warrant to get in the house... just permission from a resident. Best not piss off people you live with if you are growing

over here where iam from they need 100% a warrant to get in if they dont have anything like that they have to turn around go back downstairs and leave my house^^

Maannn, let me go ahead and be the one to give it to you cut and dry. as someone who has been in and out of the system for quite some time a few times I'm telling you from experience if somebody told them that they live with you and they watch you grow weed then police are raiding your house with a warrant will be no problem for them to get the warrent AT ALL!

if this is concerning you or a family member or a friend I suggest that that person gets out of that house ASAP cut those plants down put them in a bag and take them far away as you can and dispose of them cut your losses bro.

depends where you live.here a warrant isnt needed if someone opens the front door and invites them in.

If someone said they seen it with their own eyes that is enough for probable cause. Depending how strict the police are in your area will decide if u get raided or investigated. Not a place anyone wants to be but you gotta play it smart and lay low for a while or there could be problems lurking around the corner.

You might want to send the girls to visit a friend or relative. Or take them camping in the woods.
If the complainant lives there they can just bring them in. Other wise. detectives might watch for a while in hopes they can get more for the issuing judge than just a disgruntled whoever's statement. Especially when making the report they didn't say "come with me and I'll show you".
They might just knock on your door for a whiff as you open it. Fly over with FLIR. Have the electric company look for diverted power. Even try to bluff their way in without one. Then maybe realize you are no kingpin and move on.
If you are in one of the really harsh states, have a record, or the report started as something else chargeable, it would be even more unwise to ignore it.

Not being familiar with your local laws, however police can access a house with reasonable doubt. Also if the police get a tip from the public, they are compelled to follow through.
Best to stop growing.

Grow Rule number 1: tell no one
Grow Rule number 2: See rule 1

Cops have to have probable cause of an emergency typet to come into your home without a warrant. Like if someone is in danger, but sometimes they tey to pull "we are searching for a suspect". This is not the case and cannot come in. Now if someone is living with you and they give permission then they can cone in without a warrant, even if they are not on the lease. Also to get a warrant its up to whomever is issuing the warrant to determain (most of the time) if the 3rd party (cops) proved reasonable cause and issue a warrant specifying whats to be searched. Things are weird right now. The supreme court just ruled in a case out of SC that if a cop detains you illegally and searches you illegally and finds something to put you in jail its still can be used against you if the cop says what you was doing was illegal, even though it wasnt. "Ignorance is no excuse for the law" that put so many in jail does not apply to leo. The case was about a man pulled over for a tail light out when in SC you are only required to have 1 working. Well they pulled him over for it anyways and searched all his stuff and found alittle coke and arrested him. Court pretty much said that if a cop says you are doing anything illegal, regardless if you was or wasnt, then the 4th doesnt apply to you. Lotta scary stuff right now.
