So i came across a study that for veg best is 20/4 or 24/0 but this dont hold true for flower as it seems to hurt yeild.
How about a link to the study? I'm sure you're honest and all but I'd like to take more than your word for it. :scope:

Methinks he was talking about just vid. I cant find anything else to do with that study yet, not in documentated form anyway
Takes me back to a time where i read once on a american medical website about a Doctor who grew 3 sets of 5 strains of tangerine dream and harvested them all at different stages of flowring plus used different light stages for each.
I wish i could find it but that was ages ago, if i do ill post it, anyway, it turned out the one that had the more sleep was more potent in THC 14 days before recommended harvest time!
He had that one on at 16/8 and cut it at 60 days.
35 percent of the trichomes were also clear, confused? lol it gets better
Apparantely CBD didnt degrade at all on that light schedule but on others a slight degredation was noted.
Amazing, I know another medical bloke did the same sort of test with the same strain on the Rollity site that i read about with similiar results but he used the 18/6 - 12/12 method.
It just gets more and more interesting....
I wish we could get more definitive info, but our girls are so different strain to strain. Ask which lighting schedule is best 3 times and get 6 different answers haha. One thing I have begun to learn is what most of the seasoned growers will tell you "read your plants they'll tell you what they need". I know that comes with experience, just wish new growers like me could find a definite answer.
