I didn't reaise how much I had Missed hot cross buns until I Tasted it...Divine.......

Sick since March 10th...if I haven't got Long Covid...I'll eat my hat.........both of us have been buggered up....on repeating cycle......but hey...Still Breathin....

Yes we also Mossy, we get the woolies chips, very nice, sometimes make our own , Do you cut and peel and then dry the potatoes with a tea towel?

I didnt realise you have been sick and and off since March 10th. I hope you get over it soon

a mate @Growtogrow has been missing since August 2nd, if is a worry during these covid times when our mates and fellow members are abstance, i just hope he is busy and will be back soon

You're talking my language mate but I'm not really meant to eat those delightful morsels! Scones are a often thought of when a people refer to "Devon cream tea" or a "Cornish cream tea"! Devonian's put the cream on first then the jam, whereas the Cornish put the jam on first and the cream second.
I go with the cornish method the jam stick to the scone and then the cream is easily spread on top.
To try and spread jam on lto a layer of cream is not easy, unless your not using much cream at which point what is the point!! It is the scottish were have to thank for creating the scone! A scone used for a traditional english cream tea should be fruitless, unglazed and not dusted with icing sugar. A fruit scone is traditionally eaten with butter and of course a nice cuppa, we will drink a cuppa with almost everything. Often it is frowned upon to drink a hot drink with hot food but an Full English breakfast always has a nice cuppa to accompany it.
I like a nice kenyan tea, strong with a coppery colour, or my favorite a real smokey tea called "Russian Caravan"!

Nope.............I microwave them without pricking the skins...so they go all fluffy and the skin comes off...(optional)
Then shallow fry.....

Love the Grateful Dead been to many concerts. Got to see Jerry and Merle. Love Hot Tuna too. Electrifying times and made it through it alive although lost a few brain cells

Poor Bairn......you have been through it......I'm sure every day you'll feel a little Better.....

Microwave dry...same as a jacket tattie......I don't even take the skins off now....

Same for fast/cheat roastie tatties..........every meal I make now starts with two microwaved tatties.....

Gawd...the Years I've spent peeling potatoes.......and it was all so Easy......obviously..spot on for mash too....sauteed...
Spicy wedges...

Tattie salad...

They'll go in the oven too...up to you how you want to crisssp the outside............

Everything starts with 2 microwaved jacket tatties......

And...you can do them in bulk...and store in the fridge for 4 or 5 days.....so Convenient if you work full time....

Get home...heat the fat pan...less than 10 minutes.......ready to eat.....
