I've done quite a bit of brainstorming on this. I think my solution personally would be the large 24"x36" drywall mixing tubs 2 side by side. They're 8" deep and way cheaper than any other option I could find outside of rigging something from pvc and pond liner.

I use those tubs for mixing my soil with amendments, and more importantly also as my cats litter box, he is too large for a commercial litterbox!!!!
