Maybe from what I’ve seen is it boils down to pounds per square inch for the surface area of the puckThe material used will vary greatly in consistency..oily, triched out bud v/s less oily etc.. Sounds like a guess work gimmick to me.

It works well for them and it’s not like they are selling the calculator it is a free tool. When I started pressing material pressure was preached to me 
Sorry Amigro, it's just the way I see it. It's like saying that pound for pound, a greasy hamburger will cook the same as a Filet Mignon at the same temp, and the same weight on top. It doesn't make sense.
